Blue Lock Romantic Tropes
isagi, kaiser, sae, rin, reo, nagi x reader (separate)
word count: 1.1k , genre: romance / fluff
note: this story is about what romantic trope would suit these Blue Lock characters. I hope you guys love this!
Isagi Yoichi — Childhood Friends
Yoichi Isagi had always been head over heels for her—though he didn’t realize it until it was almost too late. She’d been his best friend for as long as he could remember. She was the one who stayed after practice to kick a ball around when no one else would, the one who always seemed to know exactly what to say after a tough game.
But lately, everything felt different. He couldn’t stop noticing the way her hair caught the sunlight or the way her laughter softened the edges of a bad day. He wasn’t sure when it started, but he knew one thing for certain: she wasn’t just his best friend anymore.
They walked home together like always, her voice filling the air with stories about her day. Isagi barely heard a word. His mind was somewhere else, lost in thoughts he didn’t have the courage to say out loud.
When they reached her street, she stopped and turned to face him. “You’re quieter than usual. What’s up?”
He hesitated, his fingers tightening around the strap of his bag. “Do you ever think about the future?”
Her brow furrowed. “Sure. Why?”
“I mean… us,” he said softly, forcing himself to meet her gaze. “Do you ever think about where we’ll end up?”
Her eyes widened slightly, and for a moment, the world seemed to hold its breath. “What are you trying to say, Yoichi?”
“I think—no, I know—I want you in my future,” he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. “Not just as my best friend, but as… something more.”
Michael Kaiser — Enemies to Lovers
Michael Kaiser had never believed in losing. In his mind, every match, every argument, every moment in life was a game to be won. That’s why she infuriated him so much. She wasn’t interested in playing by his rules.
From the moment they met, she challenged him—both on and off the field. She had a knack for seeing through his façade, stripping away the charm he used so effortlessly on everyone else. At first, he hated it. Then he couldn’t stop thinking about it.
One evening, after yet another clash on the pitch, he found her sitting alone in the stands. The moonlight caught the curve of her profile, making her look softer than he was used to seeing.
“You’re staring,” she said without looking up.
“Maybe I’m trying to figure you out,” he replied, sliding onto the bench beside her.
“You won’t,” she said, finally meeting his gaze. “You’re not as good at reading people as you think.”
Kaiser smirked, leaning back on his elbows. “And you’re not as immune to me as you pretend to be.”
Her lips twitched, but she said nothing.
For the first time, Kaiser felt like this wasn’t a game he could win—or one he wanted to.
Sae Itoshi — Second Chance
Sae Itoshi had always been good at letting go. Whether it was friends, family, or teammates, he had a way of detaching himself from people, of moving forward without looking back.
But she was different.
She’d been his calm in the storm, the person who grounded him when the pressure of his career threatened to swallow him whole. He hadn’t realized how much he relied on her until the day he walked away, convincing himself it was for the best.
Now, years later, she stood before him at the airport, looking as composed as ever. His pulse quickened at the sight of her, and for the first time in a long while, Sae felt unsure of himself.
“You’ve changed,” she said softly, studying him like she was trying to figure out a puzzle.
“Not enough,” he admitted, his voice steady but quiet.
Her lips pressed into a thin line, and she glanced away. “Then why are you here?”
“Because I couldn’t stay away,” he confessed. “Because letting you go was the biggest mistake I ever made.”
Rin Itoshi — Sun and Moon
Rin Itoshi didn’t believe in distractions. He’d built his life around focus and discipline, shutting out anything that might interfere with his pursuit of perfection.
Then she came along.
She was everything he wasn’t—bright, cheerful, and completely unafraid to push her way into his life. At first, Rin had found her presence irritating, but over time, he started to notice the small things: the way she always brought him water during practice, the way her laughter filled the empty spaces of his world.
One afternoon, as they sat in the park, she turned to him with a mischievous grin. “You should smile more, you know. It’s not illegal.”
He frowned, looking away. “Why does it matter?”
“Because it suits you,” she said simply, leaning back against the bench.
Rin’s chest tightened at her words. He didn’t know how to explain that smiling felt foreign to him—except when she was around.
Reo Mikage — Unrequited Love
Reo Mikage had always been drawn to her. She was different from everyone else in his life, uninterested in his money or his status. She treated him like an equal, never hesitating to call him out when he deserved it.
He’d fallen for her quietly, keeping his feelings to himself out of fear that she’d never see him the way he saw her. Still, he stayed by her side, always there when she needed him, hoping one day she might look at him differently.
One evening, as they sat together in a quiet café, she broke the silence. “Reo, why are you always here for me?”
He blinked, caught off guard. “What do you mean?”
“I mean… you’ve never asked for anything in return,” she said, her voice softer than usual. “Why?”
Reo hesitated, his heart pounding. “Because you’re important to me. That’s all.”
Her gaze lingered on him, and for the first time, he thought he saw something shift in her eyes.
Nagi Seishiro — Forced Proximity
Seishiro Nagi didn’t like effort. He preferred simplicity, staying in his comfort zone, and avoiding anything that felt like too much work.
So when she moved into his apartment as his new roommate, he wasn’t thrilled. She was loud, messy, and always finding ways to drag him into her whirlwind of energy. At first, he counted the days until she’d leave. But as time passed, he started to notice the way her laughter brightened the dull moments, the way she always made sure he had dinner even if she didn’t cook for herself.
One night, as they sat on the floor eating instant ramen, she looked over at him and smiled. “You’re not so bad to live with, you know.”
Nagi shrugged, his usual indifference masking the warmth spreading through his chest. “You’re okay too, I guess.”
She laughed, nudging his shoulder. “Wow, such high praise.”
He glanced at her, his voice softer than usual. “I mean it. I don’t mind you being here.”
Her laughter faded, and she looked at him with an expression he couldn’t quite place. “Good. Because I’m not going anywhere.”
For the first time, Nagi felt like that was exactly what he wanted to hear.

secret of us II - joe burrow
summary joe’s world is unraveling, and without you, he’s learning that holding on is harder than he ever imagined; but losing you isn’t an option
content angst, swearing, slowburn
part one
I can’t keep wondering where I stand in your world.
The house was too quiet, emptier than ever.
Joe sat in the dim light of his living room, the muted TV casting flickering shadows on the walls. He was supposed to be studying old game footage, but the glow of the screen barely registered. It couldn’t drown out the echo of your voice.
It replayed in his mind, over and over, like a record stuck on a loop, refusing to fade.
I can’t keep wondering where I stand in your world.
The line haunted him, cutting deeper with every repetition. You weren’t wrong. You deserved more. But knowing that didn’t make it any easier to fix, didn’t tell him how to bridge the growing distance he’d let spiral between you.
He drug a hand through his hair, his eyes drifting to his phone on the coffee table. Your name was still pinned at the top of his messages, sitting alongside his mom’s. The sight made something sharp twist in his gut. He reached for it instinctively, but his fingers froze just above the screen.
It wasn’t the first time tonight. He’d done this before; reached, hesitated, then pulled back, like the phone might scald him. Each time, his mind raced with half-formed messages, things he couldn’t bring himself to say.
I’m sorry? It felt hollow.
I miss you? Too selfish.
I love you? Too late.
With a sigh, he picked up the phone anyway, his thumb hovering over your name. For a moment, he considered unpinning the conversation, as if removing it from the top of his screen might lessen the weight in his chest. But his thumb faltered, trembling, before he dropped the phone back onto the table with a muted thud.
He couldn’t do it. Couldn’t let go. But he couldn’t reach out, either.
The silence in the room pressed heavier against him, suffocating. The faint hum of the fridge in the kitchen buzzed in his ears, and the occasional rumble of passing cars outside only reminded him how still everything inside felt. His thoughts raced, looping back to memories he wished he could escape.
Your laugh came first, bright and unguarded, the kind of sound that could lift even his heaviest days. He could picture it clearly: the way you’d throw your head back slightly, your eyes crinkling at the corners as your whole body gave into the moment. He remembered how it felt to make you laugh, the warmth that bloomed in him, the way it silenced every doubt.
Then there was the way you always noticed him. Not Joe Burrow, star NFL quarterback. Just Joe. You’d catch the tension in his shoulders after a bad game, the quiet in his voice when something wasn’t right. “You’re off today,” you’d say, your tone gentle but firm, like you wouldn’t let him brush it off. You always saw through him, and he’d let you, because it felt safe.
But he’d squandered that now. Pushed you away so thoroughly that even those memories felt like shards of glass pressing into his skin.
And still, your voice echoed in his mind, broken and tired: I can’t keep wondering where I stand in your world.
Do I even mean something to him?
The silence was unbearable.
You sat cross-legged on your bed, your phone resting beside you like a taunt. The weight of Joe’s absence clung to you, heavy and unrelenting. You told yourself you shouldn’t care this much, that you’d done the right thing by walking away. But the questions still clawed at the edges of your mind.
Do I even mean something to him?
The thought alone sent a pang through your chest. You tried to rationalize it, to tell yourself that he’d been distant because of something unrelated to you.
But the late-night doubts crept in, twisting the truth into something darker.
What if he never cared? The question whispered through your thoughts, insidious and relentless. What if I’ve been holding onto something that was never there?
Your phone buzzed once, a notification breaking the stillness. Your heart leapt, but the moment you saw it wasn’t from him, disappointment settled like a stone in your stomach. You shoved the phone away, letting it slide across the bed.
Glancing toward the mirror across the room, you caught your reflection in the dim light. For a moment, you stared, searching your own eyes for answers you couldn’t find.
What was it about him that made you hold on, even when he gave you every reason to let go?
The fear crept in, sharp and undeniable. What if I’ve invested in someone who doesn’t see me the way I see him?
The thought curled around you, smothering. You blinked hard, shaking your head as if the motion could dislodge it.
But it lingered, a truth you didn’t want to face.
So, when a friend invited you to a housewarming party, you said yes without hesitation. The idea of noise, of motion, of anything other than this unbearable quiet felt like a lifeline.
You didn’t overthink it. You didn’t let yourself. It was something to do, something to occupy your mind, something to drown out the ache that wouldn’t leave.
The house was already buzzing when you arrived, laughter and music spilling out onto the lawn. Strings of lights twinkled in the trees, their soft glow casting a warm haze over the scene.
The energy was electric, alive, a stark contrast to the silent chaos you’d been drowning in at home.
You wove through clusters of people, their voices and laughter blending into a steady hum. The scent of grilled food and spilled beer hung in the air, grounding you in the present. It was easier to focus on the movement, the sound, the colors around you.
Eventually, familiar faces came into view, Mia and Drew, the couple hosting the party. Drew’s arm was slung casually over Mia’s shoulder as they chatted with another guest, their ease a reminder of everything you used to feel when things in your life weren’t so complicated.
“Hey, you made it!” Mia beamed when she spotted you, breaking away from the conversation to pull you into a warm hug.
“Of course,” you said, forcing a smile that you hoped looked genuine. “Wouldn’t miss it.”
“Drink?” Drew offered, holding up a freshly cracked beer. His signature grin was just as lopsided and teasing as you remembered. “Or are you still pretending to be a wine connoisseur?”
You snorted, grateful for the distraction. “Still pretending, but I’ll take whatever you’ve got.”
He handed you the beer with a laugh. “Classic.”
Mia nudged him playfully before turning back to you, her expression softening. “Seriously, though, thanks for coming. It means a lot. I wasn’t sure if you’d be up for it.”
You hesitated, shrugging as you shifted the bottle between your hands. “Figured it was better than staying home.”
“Well, we’re glad you’re here,” Mia said, squeezing your arm lightly. “And I think you’ll be glad, too. Lots of familiar faces tonight.”
“Joe’s here,” Drew said casually, tipping his beer toward the living room.
Your stomach dropped. The name hit you like a sharp gust of wind, stealing the breath from your lungs.
Your grip on the bottle tightened instinctively, the flood of questions almost immediate: Did you want to see him? Could you even handle it?
The questions collided with the sinking realization that you’d somehow forgotten — how had you forgotten?
Joe was the one who’d introduced you to Mia and Drew all those years ago.
Mia’s sharp jab to Drew’s ribs made him wince, her expression darkening as she shot him a glare that could have melted steel.
She turned back to you, her eyes softening as they scanned your face, noting the way your shoulders had tensed.
“I’m so sorry,” Mia blurted, her words tumbling out in a rush. “I didn’t even think to mention it. There are so many people here, I figured you two wouldn’t even cross paths. If you want to leave, I completely understand.”
Her voice carried a mix of panic and guilt, as though she wasn’t sure which would hurt you more, staying or going. You fought to keep your expression neutral, swallowing down the dread twisting in your stomach.
“Don’t worry,” you said, your voice steadier than you felt, though the tightness in your chest betrayed you. “It’s fine. Really.”
The words tasted harsh, like a lie, but you forced them out anyway. You ignored the tightening in your grip on the drink Drew had handed you, the way the cool glass pressed against your palm like it might anchor you.
“I’ll just… stay out of his way,” you added, the shrug you offered feeling as hollow as the calm you were trying to project.
Mia searched your face, her uncertainty plain. Her lips pressed together like she wanted to argue, but she relented, nodding slowly. “Okay. Just let me know if you need anything, alright?”
You nodded back, clutching the drink as the hum of the party blurred into white noise.
Your breath came shallow and uneven as you fought the instinct to glance behind them, in the direction Drew had pointed.
You told yourself you wouldn’t look, wouldn’t let yourself go there.
But then, as if fate itself had a cruel sense of humor, your eyes caught his across the room.
Joe.
He stood near the edge of the living room, mid-conversation, but his focus had shifted.
His gaze locked on yours, and for a fleeting moment, something unguarded flickered in his expression, surprise, maybe even guilt, before it vanished, quickly replaced by that maddeningly unreadable mask he always wore so well.
An invisible force seemed to squeeze the air from your lungs, your breath hitching before you could stop it. And God, he looked good. Too good.
It wasn’t just the sharp cut of his jaw or the way his fitted shirt clung to his shoulders like it had been made for him. It was the ease in his posture, the quiet confidence in the way he stood, unaware of how effortlessly he drew attention.
The shadow of stubble along his jaw that you used to tease him about, all of it stirred something in you, something you wished would stay buried.
Your stomach twisted, heat creeping up your neck. It wasn’t fair, how he could still look like that. How he could stand there, completely oblivious to the effect he had on you, even now.
It wasn’t fair that, despite everything, some small, traitorous part of you still wanted to cross the room and close the space between you.
For a moment, the world around you blurred. The noise, the people, it all dissolved. Just you and him, caught in the weight of everything unsaid.
But it was you who blinked first, tearing your gaze away. The hollow pain grew heavier, and you took a long sip of your drink, desperate for something to distract you from the rising heat in your cheeks.
Beside you, Mia glanced between the two of you, her brows drawing together in concern. Her hand brushed your arm lightly. “Hey,” she said softly, her tone careful, deliberate. “Come with me. I’ve been dying to show off the kitchen.”
You hesitated, trying to steady your breath. “I’m fine,” you started, the lie weak even to your own ears.
But Mia didn’t wait for your protest. Her grip tightened gently, steering you toward the hallway. “Just trust me,” she murmured, her voice warm but insistent. “You’ll love it.”
You followed her, grateful for the escape, even if your mind still felt heavy. The bursts of laughter grew louder as she led you into the open kitchen.
Mia’s voice pulled you out of your thoughts as she gestured toward the expansive marble countertops. “Can you believe this? Drew’s been talking about this kitchen for months. The island alone is bigger than my first apartment.”
You nodded absently, trying to focus on her words, but the lingering tension in you made it hard to hear anything beyond the pounding of your own heart.
“And look at this,” Mia continued, pulling you toward the double ovens. Her tone was a touch too enthusiastic, like she was trying to fill the silence between you. “They’re state-of-the-art. Apparently, you can control them with your phone. Like, who even needs that?”
You managed a small laugh, the sound hollow but enough to make her smile in relief. She pointed out every detail: the sleek cabinets, the farmhouse sink, the oversized wine fridge. Her voice was light, easy, but you could see the subtle glances she cast in your direction, checking on you without saying it aloud.
But then she froze mid-sentence, her fingers curling around the edge of the countertop. Her eyes widened slightly, darting toward something, or someone, over your shoulder.
“I’m so sorry,” she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.
A wave of dread washed over you, the knot in your stomach tightening before you even turned around. You didn’t need to look to know who it was.
“Hi,” Joe said.
The single word was quiet, but it hit like a thunderclap. Slowly, you turned, your grip tightening on the beer bottle as you faced him.
He stood just a few feet away, his hands shoved into his pockets, his expression carefully guarded. For a moment, neither of you spoke. The hum of the party dulled to white noise, the edges of the room blurring until it felt like it was only the two of you.
“Hey,” you said finally, your voice clipped but trembling with the hurt you couldn’t hide.
He hesitated, his jaw tightening. “I didn’t think you’d be here.”
“Yeah, well,” you replied, folding your arms across you like a shield. “I didn’t think you’d care.”
His shoulders stiffened, and for the faintest second, something flickered in his eyes — regret, maybe. Or guilt. He dragged a hand through his hair, the motion as familiar as it was frustrating. “I deserved that.”
“Yeah, you did.”
The words hung heavy between you, the air thick with everything unsaid. His gaze dropped to the floor, his voice softer now. “I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
“Funny,” you bit out, your voice shaking despite your best effort. “Because from where I’m standing, that’s exactly what you did.”
“I was scared,” he admitted, his voice cracking as the words escaped. “Scared of ruining everything. Of losing you.”
Your breath hitched, a knot twisting painfully in your chest. Heat surged behind your eyes, anger and sorrow colliding like waves in a storm.
“Well, congratulations,” you said, the words trembling as they left your lips. “You managed to do it anyway.”
The words struck him like a blow. For a moment, he just stood there, shoulders sagging under the weight of your anger and his own guilt.
You turned to leave, but before you could take more than a step, Joe’s hand closed around your arm, not harsh, but enough to stop you in your tracks.
“Wait,” he said, his voice sharper now, tinged with frustration.
You froze, slowly turning back to him. His face was taut, his jaw clenched, and his eyes — those stupid, stupid eyes, were filled with something you couldn’t quite name. Guilt? Embarrassment? Anger? Maybe all three.
“Let me explain,” he muttered, his grip loosening but not releasing. “Just… Can you stop and listen for once?”
A bitter laugh escaped you, sharp and cutting. “Stop and listen?” you repeated, your voice low, laced with disbelief. “That’s rich coming from you, Joe.”
His face reddened slightly, and for a moment, you saw something like shame cross his features before it was replaced with exasperation. “I’m trying, okay?” he snapped. “Can you just give me a second?”
“A second?!” You wrenched your arm free, your voice low but razor-sharp. “Joe, I gave you months. I gave you every second I had trying to be the friend you clearly didn’t want. And this—” you gestured between you, the tension spilling over. “This is what I get in return?”
His frustration bubbled over. “Fine. Maybe I messed up,” he muttered, his voice tight. “But can you just stop acting like—”
“Like what?” you interrupted, stepping closer, your voice a low hiss. “Like I don’t have a right to be upset? Like you don’t deserve every ounce of guilt you feel?”
For a moment, he just stared at you, his chest heaving, but you didn’t give him a chance to respond.
“You’re not half the man you think you are, Joe,” you whispered coldly. “And I’m done waiting for you to prove otherwise.”
You turned on your heel, setting the drink down and walking away without looking back. You heard him curse under his breath, low and frustrated, but you didn’t stop. You couldn’t. Not anymore.
When you left, the party carried on around Joe, but he barely noticed.
The laughter grated against his ears, hollow and distant, like static in a bad signal. The drink in his hand had long since gone flat, and each sip tasted like ash.
He lingered near the edge of the room, his gaze skimming the crowd half-heartedly, but his mind was miles away.
He’d never seen you that angry before. Never been the target of your wrath. Your voice, usually warm and steady, had cracked with an edge so sharp it cut through him like a blade.
It wasn’t just the anger in your eyes that haunted him. It was the hurt, raw and undeniable, that twisted the knife deeper.
He kept replaying the moment in his head, over and over. The way you’d stood there, unflinching, hurling the truth at him like stones.
Each one had hit its mark. Sharp. Deserved. Impossible to ignore.
And for the first time ever, Joe had no defense. No excuse. No shield to hide behind.
It wasn’t like he didn’t already know how much he’d screwed up, he’d been carrying that guilt for weeks. But hearing it from you, seeing it etched into every line of your face, watching your shoulders sag under the weight of his mistakes, it was unbearable.
And yet, even as you’d turned and walked away, he hadn’t moved. He’d stood there frozen, paralyzed by the very thing he wanted so desperately to fix.
By the time he got back home, the silence in his house was deafening. He dropped his keys on the counter, the metallic clang echoing in the empty space. Collapsing onto the edge of the couch, he leaned forward, elbows on his knees, staring blankly at the phone in his hands.
His thumb hovered over the screen, his breath shallow as he opened your contact. For what felt like the hundredth time, he started typing, rehearsing the words he’d been cycling through his mind all night.
Joe: Can we talk? Please.
His finger hesitated above the send button, doubt twisting in his gut.
What if you didn’t respond? Or worse, what if you did, and it was already too late? The thought clenched around him like a vice.
Before he could stop himself, he pressed send, his heart lurching as the message flew out into the void.
Seconds stretched into agonizing hours in his mind as he waited, the silence amplifying every fear. When his phone buzzed in his hand, his heart jumped, his pulse racing as he read your reply.
You: When?
The single word sent a wave of cautious hope through him, sharp and overwhelming. Without hesitation, he typed back, his fingers moving faster than his thoughts.
Joe: Tonight. Please. I’ll come to you.
As soon as he hit send, his breath hitched. He stared at the screen, nerves twisting into knots as he braced himself for your reply.
When it finally came, two simple letters that carried the weight of the world, his grip on the phone tightened.
You: Ok.
Joe exhaled sharply, the tension in his chest loosening just enough to let him breathe. It wasn’t much, but it was everything.
Fragile. Fleeting. A chance to make things right, and he couldn’t screw it up.
He pushed off the couch, pacing around his living room, his mind racing.
What could he say to fix this?
How could he even begin to mend the cracks he’d caused in something so precious?
Every possible scenario played out in his head, each one ending the same way — your hurt eyes staring back at him, colder than he’d ever thought possible.
Stopping mid-step, he dragged a hand over his face, frustration clawing through him.
He hated himself for every misstep, for every silence that pushed you further away. Now, he wasn’t sure words could ever be enough. But he had to try. He owed you that much.
The drive to your apartment had been a blur of glowing streetlights and the persistent drumbeat of his own heartbeat. The radio drummed through the air, but it was nothing more than static to his ears, drowned out by the endless thoughts in his head.
When he pulled up outside your building, he stayed in the car for a moment, gripping the steering wheel so tightly his knuckles ached.
From where he sat, he could see the faint glow of your window, and the sight made his hands sweat
With a deep breath, he grabbed his phone and typed a message, his fingers trembling with a mix of nerves and desperation.
Joe: I’m here.
The three dots appeared almost instantly, his breath catching as he waited. When your reply came, his heart skipped a beat.
You: Door’s unlocked.
The burden in him grew heavier with every step toward your door, and when he stepped inside, the air felt thick, charged with the tension of everything left unsaid.
The scent of your apartment hit him first. Warm, familiar, and grounding in a way that only twisted the knot in his stomach tighter.
His eyes found you immediately. You were sitting on the couch, staring blankly at the dark TV screen, your posture rigid and guarded.
The soft glow from the lamp next to you highlighted your face, but it didn’t hide the exhaustion in your eyes or the way your lips pressed into a thin line.
You didn’t move. You didn’t speak. But your expression said more than words ever could.
It was an unspoken challenge, a demand for answers he wasn’t sure he could give.
Joe swallowed hard, every carefully rehearsed words evaporating in the silence. His voice caught before he finally spoke, “Thanks… for letting me come.”
The words felt insignificant, but they were all he could manage.
Your head snapped over to him, jaw tightened, your eyes narrowing just enough for him to see the storm brewing behind them. “You said you wanted to talk,” you said finally, your tone sharp and clipped. “So talk.”
Joe’s throat tightened, and for a moment, he couldn’t move. The tension in the room was suffocating, and every ounce of hurt in your voice twisted something deep inside him. He took a hesitant step forward, his voice trembling slightly when he spoke.
“I should’ve handled this better,” he said, his voice low, almost pleading. “I shouldn’t have pushed you away. I shouldn’t have ignored you. You didn’t deserve that.”
The words stumbled out, weighed down by the guilt pressing deep into him. “I got in my own head, and I let it get the better of me. I thought… I thought that keeping my distance would make it easier, but all I did was hurt you. And I hate myself for it.”
You blinked, your jaw tightening as the meaning behind his words settled over you, heavy and unclear. Keeping his distance? Easier for who? Why?
The questions swirled silently in your mind, but, before you could think better of it, you stood abruptly, the motion sharp and filled with tension, your arms folding tightly across your chest.
“You were scared,” you referred back to earlier, bitterness creeping into your tone. “And what about me, Joe? Do you think this was easy for me? Do you think walking away didn’t hurt like hell?”
He flinched, your words hitting him like a slap. He had no rebuttal, no defense.
Because you were right.
He’d been selfish, so consumed by his own fear that he hadn’t stopped to think about what it was costing you.
“I know I don’t deserve another chance,” he said, his voice thick with emotion. “But I need you to know that I care about you. More than anything. And I’m sorry I didn’t show you that when it mattered.”
The tremor in his voice made you pause. Your arms dropped slightly, and you exhaled a shaky breath. “Joe,” you started, softer this time, but the hurt in your eyes was still there, unmoving. “I just… I don’t know if I can keep doing this. I don’t know if I can keep waiting for you to figure out what you want.”
“I know,” he said quickly, the words rushing out like a plea. “I know I screwed up. But please—” He stepped closer, his voice breaking. “Please let me fix this. Let me prove to you that I can be better.”
You didn’t respond right away, and the silence was deafening. But when you finally met his gaze, he saw the war in your eyes, the part of you that wanted to protect yourself battling with the part that still wanted to believe him.
For the first time, he realized just how much he’d put at risk. If he lost you now, he knew he wouldn’t recover.
Your lips parted, and he braced himself, every muscle in his body taut as if preparing for a blow. “This… this is your last chance. Don’t waste it.”
The weight of your words hit him like a tsunami. Brutal. Final. But in the wreckage, there was a sliver of hope, fragile and flickering, and he clung to it with everything he had left.
“I won’t,” he promised, his voice steady in a way that felt almost foreign after weeks of chaos. “I won’t waste it.”
You nodded, but the gesture was stark, emotionless. There was no smile, no warmth. Only quiet resolve, sharp-edged and cutting. “You better not,” you said softly, the faintest quiver in your tone betraying the exhaustion beneath your anger. “Because I don’t think I can do this again.”
You turned sharply, your movement punctuating your words like a final period. But just as you began to step away, his voice broke through the tension, low and deliberate. “Me either, sweetheart.”
The word stopped you cold.
Your breath hitched, the sound catching in your throat like a snare. Sweetheart. He’d never called you that before, and hearing it now felt like a quiet declaration, unspoken but heavy with meaning.
It was unfamiliar on his lips, but it wrapped around you like a hesitant embrace; soft, tentative, undeniable.
Slowly, you drew in a deep, measured breath, letting the weight of his words settle in your brain, rippling outward in waves you couldn’t yet name.
When you finally exhaled, it was as though a fraction of the tension released with it. Quietly, you moved back to the couch, sinking into the corner as if it might anchor you.
The tension in the room lingered, a silent witness to everything left unsaid, but it no longer suffocated you.
Behind you, his footsteps were soft, hesitating for the briefest moment before coming closer. When he sat beside you, the space between you felt impossibly vast, a canyon carved by weeks of silence and hurt.
You risked a glance at him, your heart thrumming in your chest. His eyes stayed fixed on the floor, his fingers clasped tightly as if bracing for a blow.
But his presence was steady, quiet, grounding in a way that sent a flicker of warmth through the cold ache in your chest.
You hated how much you’d missed it. Hated how some small, fragile part of you still leaned into that warmth, despite everything.
And for the first time in what felt like forever, something unfamiliar flickered in your chest. It wasn’t relief, not yet.
But it was softer than anger. Warmer than indifference.
A fragile ember that stirred in the quiet, daring you to believe that maybe, just maybe, this wasn’t the end.

Can you do toby, hoodie, and masky being instructed to kill their s/o by slender? Would they actually go through with it?
a/n: picture me rubbing my hands together evilly upon reading this request okay. this is so so so short but i felt like it would drag on if i made it any longer im sorry </3 but i hope you enjoy it!! thanks for the request, i love angst <3
warnings: major character death in tobys part!! murder, attempted murder, blood, descriptive death, memory loss, overall everyone has a bad time, but hoodie is like... vibing. also not proofread im incapable of rereading things i write.
MASKY
It's certainly not an order he intends on following, but he's well aware that he's susceptible to Slender's influence, so he's not quiet sure how to avoid it.
The only one of the three to actually try and negotiate with Slender. You weren't a threat to anyone, let alone it. He didn't understand why the being was hellbent on getting him to kill you, especially since it knew that he loved you.
And that's just the reason.
He loved you, so you were a distraction. You were a weakness, and Slender doesn't take well to its proxies having weaknesses.
But it was a reasonable being. For Masky, at least. The man was logical, so they saw eye to eye a fair amount of times. He had yet to go against any of his other orders, so Slender was willing to negotiate.
Its terms? Masky would have to cut all contact with you and your memory of him would have to be taken so to ensure you wouldn't try finding him. And in exchange, you would get to keep your life.
Now, obviously, he didn't want that. Masky loved you, so why would he ever want to part ways with you? Almost as if to show him what would happen if he didn't accept its terms, Slender caused the man to black out, and when he came to...
He was in your bedroom, standing over your bed as you slept, a gun pointing at you. His finger was on the trigger, and he quickly dropped the gun before anything could happen.
The thought of you dying, the reality of living in a world without you in it, was enough to make him agree to Slender's terms. Masky disappeared from your life, and your memory of him went with.
Though he remembered you. A sick form of punishment, perhaps, for falling in love. He remembered everything about you.
HOODIE
Hoodie is, out of the three, the one most likely here to blatantly disobey Slender without fear of consequence. Though Slender is technically his boss, he's not the type to blindly follow orders unless they make sense to him.
No amount of punishment has been able to break him, but he's too valuable of a proxy for Slender to rid of him.
When the order first comes to his mind, he almost laughs from the sheer absurdity of it.
He does not care what reason the entity might have for wanting you dead. Hoodie loved you, so he would not kill you. And should Slender try getting one of the other proxies to try and kill you, Hoodie is not against harming them.
His loyalties lie with you, first and foremost.
You are one of the very few things in his life that brings him joy, there's just literally no way in hell he'll let anything take that away from him. Not even his evil eldritch boss can force him away from you.
And unlike Masky, he won't distance himself from you. He's... pretty selfish, to be honest. His very presence puts you in harms way, and you might have people actively trying to murder you from now on but don't worry!!
He'll keep you safe, trust him.
TICCI TOBY
The only one here who will actually kill you. He doesn't want to, believe me. Toby will actively go out of his way to try and defy Slender like Hoodie, even, but he is the entity's most loyal proxy, so it's a short battle.
Toby's loyalty to the faceless being runs deeper than anything else, even his love for you. If Slender wants him to kill someone, then he will.
But he doesn't kill you willingly, if that makes you feel any better. Toby ignores the order for as long as he can, until Slender runs out of patience. And when it does, it will hound Toby with endless static and agonizing pain, punishment for disobeying its orders.
It will break Toby down, and once it's sure that Toby can't disobey it again, Slender will demand he kill you. And this time, in a mindless haze, Toby does it.
Maybe he thinks he's killing someone else, your screams and cries falling upon deaf ears as he slams his hatchets into you over and over again under you could no longer be recognized, your blood staining his clothes and skin.
Toby won't remember you. You were a weakness that had to be purged, so Slender ensured that every memory he had of you was repressed. But even so, there's this aching feeling in his chest. As if he was missing something important, something he can't quite place.
He mourns you, and yet he can't even remember you. He just feels... anguish, for some reason.

So, it seems like the majority of transandrophobes are Western, white, trans women, in their mid to late 20s.
Speaking as a Western, white, trans woman, in her late 20s, I believe I can shed some insight on why I feel like so many people with these traits are transandrophobic.
So, these women grew up in the era of those "SJW Owned Compilation" videos on YouTube. In these videos, you have cherry picked videos of radfems either arguing with men, or having "meltdowns". These women aren't a true reflection of feminism, as they hold the view (as shown in these clips) that any man, especially a white, straight, man, has this infinite amount of privilege, and everything in the world is their fault.
Remember the "You're a fucking white male!" meme from that era?
So, these women who grew up, being told that this is what feminism is, internalize this view, and take it with them.
Fast forward 10 years or so, and some of these "boys" who grew up being told that feminism is about hating men, will turn out to be trans. Now that they're women, they're told that they should be feminists by society and other women (rightfully so!). So, these girls who grew up being told that feminism means "Man bad!" will now try their best to be feminists, but their view of feminism is warped. They think that they have to hate men to be feminists. They have to deny that men face any problems at all. They have to believe that all men, no matter what, have privilege under the patriarchy and are the source of all that's evil. Because that's what they think feminism is, according to their first real exposure to feminism being these women.
So, they carry this prejudice with them as they start interacting with other trans people online.
Now they meet a trans man, and clearly, he's a man right? So he must be bad. He must have privilege under the patriarchy. He must be the source of what's wrong with society.
Thus, a transandrophobe is born.
This, I think, is what has caused the wildfire of transandrophobes popping up online. Women who grew up being told that an extreme form of feminism is true feminism, and trying their best to live up to their gender roles by being a "feminist" and hating the men closest to them in online spaces- their fellow trans people, trans men/mascs in particular.

i apologize for the really long ask but i really wanted to share my thoughts and i would make my own loa blog but i dont have it in me to deal with anons so i fear i will dump them all on you 😔 first off i want to say THANKKKK YOUUUUUU you literally changed my manifestation journey i used to be really into manifestation back in 2021/2022 and i was trying to manifest my dream face but it never happened no matter how much i affirmed or listened to subs or anything so i was just like fuck it this manifesting stuff isnt real imma just move on with my life and thats how i went about my life until you popped up on my dashboard a month ago and usually i would click not interested on any loa content but i was like you know what lemme give this stuff a chance again bc i did try the non manifesting route and it didnt work out bc when i tell you my life went DOWNHILL i used to protect myself from negative experiences by having the belief that i was simply the exception to terrible stuff but the moment i left the loa behind and was like no thats unrealistic anything can happen well guess what!! so many bad stuff happened in my life the last 2 years its genuinely crazy. so i was like lemme try this again and i went through your blog and really tried to materialize everything you were saying and read it with the attitude that what you are saying IS real instead of the doubting attitude i had towards loa advice/info back in 2022 and things really shifted for me.
so the first thing i learned is that MANIFESTATION IS REAL and more importantly NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE what i went through these past two years was proof to me that manifestation is real because once i adopted that negative mindset and dropped any positive beliefs i had my life became a nightmare and all those terrible thoughts manifested right before my eyes. for example i used to believe that i always looked pretty no matter what, this was just something part of my belief system but when i abandoned the law and everything i told myself no thats crazy i cant mAniFeSt looking pretty its unrealistic if im not pretty then im just not and bro when i tell you i was at my lowest appearance wise I WAS AT MY LOWESSTT my classmates at school would come up to me and tell me i looked so different and so dull even my mom would say the same stuff to me and tell me i changed i also noticed a difference when i looked in the mirror. the reason why i felt like manifestation wasnt real was because it just seemed really crazy to me, i felt like things materializing out of nowhere and appearances changing drastically was just like something fantastical and just not possible here in the real world. well i am here to tell you that is NAWT THE CASE! the world is not logical and im gonna tell you why. most of us here have grew up religious, and whats more illogical than religion? there are so many stories in the bible where illogical stuff happen like youre telling me some guy can turn water into wine? doesnt that sound like something out of a fantasy movie? but it happened, right? you believe in the bible so you believe in all the stuff that happened in it even the magical stuff. and another thing with growing up religious is that we always hear stories about miracles where for example a neighbor who was really sick suddenly woke up completely healthy. and we also were taught that we can ask god for anything and that god can make anything happen. i remember when my dad would teach me about religion he would say that god can make the grass is purple if he wanted to. it isnt just in religion but also in another spiritual communities and stuff they also have their own stories where things that dont really make sense logically happen. this goes to show that the world and humanity were never logical and that illogical things can happen, they've been happening since the dawn of time. people just came up with their own explanations. so get that thought that you cant change your entire face because its too crazy out of your head because it isn't. anything is possible. we literally live on a rock and we somehow move and speak and talk and somehow atoms exist so pls get with the program aint nothing logical in this life and the sooner you come to terms with that the better. nothing is too crazy because existence itself is crazy.
the second thing i learned was that MANIFESTATION IS NOT A PROCESS. i used to hear this all the time back in 2022 and it never made sense to me i was always like what tf are yall talking about???? my understanding was that manifestation is the act of trying to get something, but i was so so wrong. everything changed for me when i started approaching manifestation with the attitude that i was reminding myself of what i have, not trying to get what i want. basically stop thinking of manifestation as manifestation if ykwim. to really understand this im gonna have to talk about the whole "decide that you have your desire > affirm that you have it > keep presisting" thing and break it down.
so what do people mean when they tell you to decide that you have your desire? does it mean saying out loud "i have __" and then a few seconds going "alright wheres my ___?" no. it means you in your mind decide that its ALREADY YOURS and that you ALREADY GOT IT. i dont know how to word this any differently because its so simple its literally in the words. im gonna try an example. im assuming that youre reading this with your eyes so you have eyes. are you trying to 'manifest' having eyes? when you say "i have eyes" are you using an affirmation to get eyes? is having eyes a desire youre trying to 'manifest'? no because you literally already have eyes bro how else are you reading this with your bootyhole??? so when you say "i have eyes" you arent manifesting via affirming, youre just saying it to remind yourself because well you have eyes. you arent trying to manifest eyes because you already have them. thats what it means to decide that your desire is yours. it means to stop treating what is yours as a desire because its literally yours. stop seeing it as something youre trying to manifest because you already have it, wtf do you need to manifest for? do you get it? don't think of doing this as you tricking your mind into thinking you have your desires because AGAINN you arent tricking anything you literally already have it. when you say "i have eyes" and you have eyes are you trying to trick gour brain? no. that sounds silly. im sorry that this is so repetitive but its literally that simple idk what everyone else is doing complicating the most simple thing ever.
and now, what do people mean by affirm that you have it? does that mean using affirmations to manifest your 'desire'? (i put desire in quotations bc you already have it since you decided you do) no. it simply means reminding yourself that you do. ill go back to the eyes example. if you were to say "i have eyes" right now would you understand that as some woo woo manifestation affirmation technique? no because you already have eyes. what youre doing is simply stating a fact and reminding yourself of it for funsies. you arent trying to manifest anything because you already have it. affirming doesn't mean tricking your brain or your subconscious that you have your desire or whatever, its just you reminding yourself.
and finally, what does it mean to persist? does that mean fighting for your life trying to convince yourself that you have your desire? no. because you already have it. it simply means that everytime you ask yourself "oh why isnt this showing up in my 3d?" you tell yourself "bro what tf are you on about were not manifesting anything we already have it are you crazy?" that's all. going back to the eyes example, you know you have eyes, so if someone came up to you rn and was like "hey did your eyes come in yet?" you'd probably think they hit their head or something because your eyes are literally right there its how youre seeing their dumbass. that's the same attitude you have to have towards your 'desires'. stop thinking of your 'desires' as desires, stop thinking youre trying to manifest anything, stop thinking you have to wait for anything to show up in the 3d or that the 3d is lagging behind or whatever, stop seeing manifestation as manifestation, stop imagining yourself sending in success stories asks when you get your desires, basically just stop dawg. you already have it. "dont contradict yourself" (although again you arent contradicting anything bc you already have it im just running out of ways to simply something thats already so simple). thats what it means to manifest instantly.
anyways thats all i wanted to say. im so sorry for the horrendously long ask i would make it even longer by talking about my success now but i think you would beat my ass if i did. bye bye love u
!!!!! you ate this whole thing up. y'all better come read this.

okay, i don't wanna give spoilers, since you said you hadn't finished it, so.. first episode feels safe ??
fucking your cousin's is normal. it's a vault, there's limited selection. nobody blames you. but fucking your best friend.. well, that's a little much for lucy. not because your a girl. no, that's not- that has nothing to do with it, she promises. she just doesn't want to change your bond, that's all.
or super convoluted way to say lucy has a crush on you and refuses to admit it. mayb ?? idk if this makes sense sorry
also first ask i've sent that's not just conversation, so.. should probably put a name to my claim.
- 🦴 ( if possible </3 )
── KISS ME ONCE, THEN KISS ME TWICE, THEN KISS ME ONCE AGAIN
— summary: you and lucy decide to ‘practice’.
— warnings: friends to lovers. mostly fluff with some nsfw-ish content. so mdni.
the hum of the vault’s fluorescent lights buzzes overhead, the sound so constant it’s easy to forget it’s there at all until everything else is silent.
you and lucy are sprawled on the bed in her quarters, your shoulders pressed together as you share the same faded book, its pages worn from years of careful reading. the vault’s limited library doesn’t get restocked, after all.
“you ever think about what’s out there?” you ask suddenly.
lucy doesn’t look up from the pages, though her grip tightens slightly, the paper under her thumb crumbling. “not really,” she lies.
“come on!” you press, nudging her with your elbow. “you’ve never wondered what it’s like? the open sky, fresh air…”
at that, she snorts. “fresh air? you know the stories! it’s nothing but radiation and monsters out there!” lucy flips the page, her eyes fixed on the paragraph in front of her.
you roll onto your side, propping yourself up on your elbow to look at her. “you don’t think everyone out there is bad. you’re too nice for that!”
she finally glances at you, her lips quirking into a small smile. “you think i’m nice?”
“well, of course,” you say, your tone teasing. “i mean, you could just tell me to shut it and read the book, but here we are!”
lucy laughs, a quiet, breathy sound, and looks back down at the book. she doesn’t turn the page.
“okay, maybe i do think about it,” she admits after a moment.
it reminds you of childhood. of sitting in the quiet dark of the quarters, exchanging hushed secrets in the comfort of her presence.
“but not the way you do! you’ve got this whole…” she gestures vaguely, her eyes flicking back to yours. “…adventure thing in your head. like the outside world’s just waiting for you to show up and save it single-handed!”
“and you don’t?”
“nope.” she smiles. “i mean- eventually. once it is safe for all of us to return back. maybe our children will?” she clears her throat and nudges you with her shoulder. “anyway, why would i want to leave when I’ve got you around to drive me crazy?”
you grin, making a point of ignoring the way her words make your heart flutter. “lucky, lucky you!”
“don’t i know it?” she says, rolling her eyes, but her smile lingers, softer now.
the silence settles again, this time heavier with the book no longer her only focus. you don’t notice but lucy’s eyes keep darting your way, her fingers fidgeting with the edge of the paper.
she’s fighting a battle in her head. one she’s been losing for weeks, maybe months.
lucy’s been told, more than once and by multiple sources, that making out with your cousin, for example, is normal. perhaps expected, even, just to have some sort experience secured.
but wanting you? her best friend ever since she can remember? that’s something different. something that makes her palms sweat and her stomach twist in ways she can’t explain whenever she tries to picture it.
“hey,” you say suddenly, pulling her out of her spiral. “are you okay?”
“yeah,” she says quickly, her voice too bright. “why wouldn’t i be?”
“you’re fidgeting,” you point out, reaching to still her hand.
the touch is light, casual even. something you’ve done a hundred times before. but it feels different now, with pictures of your lips on hers flashing through her mind. lucy knows it’s not your fault. it’s hers. it’s always hers.
“i’m fine,” she insists, pulling her hand away and crossing her arms. “just…tired, i suppose,”
you don’t look convinced, but you let it go, lying back down and turning your attention to the book. lucy stays sitting up, her eyes on you instead of the page.
she shifts awkwardly, trying not to fidget again. you've started having that effect on her, and it's driving her crazy.
“you know,” you say suddenly as if you'd been reading her mind. “people in the vault are always talking about how it's normal to…y'know, experiment?”
lucy's head jerks toward you so quickly it's a miracle she doesn't pull a muscle.
“experiment?”
“yeah," you hum. “like...with other people…everyone says it's no big deal. ‘limited options,' and all that!”
she swallows hard, her palms suddenly clammy again. “uh...sure,” she says, trying to sound disinterested. “i mean, that's just how it is, right? have to keep the gene pool going or whatever,”
now it’s your turn to snort. “i'm not talking about marriage and babies, lucy. i mean..." you trail off. “practice.”
“practice?” she echoes, her voice an octave too high, the words catching in her throat.
“for when we do get married someday,” you clarify, like it's the most obvious thing in the world. there's a pause before you quickly add: “not to each other, obviously,”
lucy feels like her brain is short-circuiting all over again. you can't just say things like that and expect her to function like a normal person. “right….gee, of course not to each other!” she parrots.
you sit up fully now, visibly excited. “but think about it! vault life does mean limited options, right? most people are already making out with their cousins to 'prepare for marriage!” you pull a face, the very idea making you wrinkle your nose in distaste.. “at least this way, we're...helping each other out. as friends!” “as friends,” lucy repeats, as if saying it out loud will make it true. “you…you’re serious?” her voice wavers, and it’s humiliating. god, why couldn’t she just sound normal?
“why not?” you shrug. “it's not like it has to mean anything!”
she wants to tell you it already does. that it's meant something to her for as long as she can remember. that it could never not, when it’s with you.
but instead, she stammers, “i- i don't think-“
“oh, come on!” you tease, your grin widening. “what? are you scared?”
that does it. lucy always had a stubborn streak, and you’ve learned exactly how to poke it.
“i'm not scared,” she insists, sitting up straighter.
“then prove it!”
lucy freezes. the air between you charged with something she doesn’t quite know how to name. every ounce of logic in her brain is screaming bad idea, but it’s drowned out by the overwhelming desire to close the space between you. just this once. ust for the sake of practice.
“this is...for practice,” she says finally, the words shaky, as if she’s reminding herself more than you.
“exactly.” your voice is soft now, steady. reassuring.
she hesitates for a heartbeat longer, her eyes searching yours for any sign that this is some cruel joke, a trap, a mistake. but all she sees is you: familiar and warm and impossibly close. before she can talk herself out of it, lucy leans in.
the kiss is tentative at first, her lips brushing yours with a softness that surprises even her. it’s careful, until you don’t pull away. when you lean into her instead, it deepens. the warmth of your mouth sends a jolt through her entire body, a shiver that starts at the base of her spine and works its way up.
her hands hover uncertainly in the air before finding your shoulders and holding on for dear life. lucy senses you smiling against her lips, and feeling the curve of your mouth against her own sends her poor heart stumbling in her chest. stumbling, then falling. falling deeper than it ever has before.
your lips taste like the chapstick she applied on them earlier, reasoning that they’d been looking a little too dry when -in reality- all she wanted was an excuse to get to see you from up close.
now, that same gloss smears against lucy’s own, leaving the faint taste of cherry in her mouth. she wants to taste of cherry everywhere, overcome with an unexplainable urge to drown in the flavor altogether: a sweet trail drawn slowly along the zipper of her vault jumpsuit. perhaps even lower, after, so that when you’ll come back up to lucy’s mouth, you’ll taste of her instead of cherries and she’ll get a taste of that, too.
when you are the one to pull back first, heat rushes to her cheeks. you're both breathing a little harder, the space between you buzzing with something electric.
“well,” you begin, your tongue darting out to wet those lips. lucy finds herself watching, mesmerized. “that wasn't so bad, was it?”
her heart is pounding so loudly she's sure you can hear it from where you’re sitting. “uh...no. not bad!”
you grin, leaning back on your hands like nothing monumental just happened.
“we're definitely ready for marriage now,” you conclude, teasing.
later that night, after she’s made sure that the doors to her room are locked, lucy slumps down into the comfort of her bed.
her pillow is still crumpled where you sat earlier.
when lucy presses it between her legs, her face in the bedsheets to stifle her sighs, she smells cherries.
the door to lucy’s quarters hisses shut behind you.
lucy stumbles backward, her lips already pressed to yours, her hands fumbling against the curve of your waist to steady herself. the room feels smaller than usual, the bed barely a few feet away.
“just…practice…” she murmurs between kisses, her voice breathless and a little shaky.
“exactly,” you whisper back, your lips brushing hers again before moving to her jaw.
lucy hums in agreement, though the way her hands tighten on your waist as your lips find her neck suggests she’s not really thinking about marriage prep, potential husbands, or the repopulation anymore.
after that first kiss, something shifted between you. something neither of you could explain but could not resist either. what once was supposed to be casual, a vault-sanctioned form of bonding, a way to keep things ‘normal’ in an environment that was anything but had turned into something way more the moment your lips touched hers that night in her quarters. ‘normal’ went out the window then.
it’s become a familiar pattern over the last few weeks: a fleeting glance across the cafeteria, a brush of hands in the halls, a whispered promise to meet later when no one’s around.
not that you ever talked about it. with all the rules in vault 33, the unspoken one between you both was the most important of all: keep it light, keep it safe. you never pushed further than kisses, never ventured beyond the safety of your blue and yellow vault suits. anything else would be too much, too real.
still, it didn’t matter how many rules you set for yourselves; staying away wasn’t an option. not anymore.
lucy’s back hits the edge of the bed, and she lets out a quiet laugh, her cheeks flushed. “we’re getting really good at this,” she teases.
you grin, leaning down to press another kiss to her lips. “we’re dedicated to the craft,”
her laugh softens into a sigh as you pull back slightly and she can’t chase your mouth with hers, your foreheads touching.
“this isn’t weird, right?” she asks suddenly, her voice quieter now.
you tilt your head, brushing your nose against hers and drawing another chuckle from her. “weird?”
“yeah.” lucy swallows. “i mean, we’re best friends. and we’re…”
“practicing,” you finish for her.
“right,” she nods quickly. “practicing!”
you don’t say what you’re both thinking: that this doesn’t feel like what it was supposed to be. that it never did, to begin with.
instead, you kiss her again, slow and deliberate, letting the moment stretch. lucy’s hands finally settle on your waist, pulling you closer as her nerves melt away.
all these weeks of making out under the disguise of practicing for a hypothetical marriage neither of you had ever shown any interest in had been good already. great, even. better than anything else you’ve ever known. which truthfully isn’t that much, but it still counts for something that you’re more than willing for lucy to be your first.
the only inconvenience to your little escapades would come later, after sneaking out of her room: the shameful feeling of your arousal, a stubborn reminder that you could not truly be casual about any of this.
still, leaving lucy’s quarters with your wetness pooling between your legs uncomfortably would always be worth having the little of her that you'd been granted.
perhaps one day, it would actually feel like enough. until then, you'll continue with the familiar pattern you've both fallen into. you'll let her touch you through the way too restrictive fabric and say a little prayer that, one of these days, she will go straight for the zipper instead.

i wonder - edward cullen x reader
next>>>
You patiently waited as the doctor came in. The nurse already checked your vitals. She tells you it’s been a pretty eventful day.
His face was magical in a way but you felt comfortable. His smile was bright and shiny and you couldn’t help but bring out your own smile.
“I know you’re ready to get this thing off.” he says to you and you nod.
It was true. You were tired of doing everything with one hand. The special saw cut through the cast and you look at the limb that’s been covered for some time. It felt freeing.
You walk out of the room as you thank the doctor.
“Now remember, no playing right away. Wait for a few days to a week.”
“Aw, really?” you say with much disappointment.
“It’s important that you don’t rush it. Your other hand I’m sure is thanking you.”
“It’s no fun playing with one hand.” you say with a playful pout and Dr. Cullen laughs a bit. Placing a hand on your arm, “It won’t be fun to hurt it even more.”
He glances elsewhere and he then gives you a polite smile before sending you on your way. You see him walk in the direction of the boy and a girl, around your same age as they talked quietly.
You then flex your hand, seeing that your wrist was a bit smaller than your other one. You test out of your wrist, pretending to play a few notes as if you’re at a piano. You shake your head as you clutch it.
You wince a bit as you understood what Dr. Cullen meant. You then sigh a bit before pulling out your phone to let your parent know that you’re done and on your way home.
“You play?” you hear a voice. It startled you a bit but it was soothing.
You slowly look up. You see that the boy that Dr. Cullen seemed to know, was staring at you. He was by himself instead of with the girl you seen him with earlier, waiting for an answer. His gaze was intense, which made you look down for a moment as you nod.
“How do you know?” you ask quietly. You didn’t know why you felt shy.
“I saw you test your wrist out as if you were playing keys.” He says. You look up and he brings on a soft but friendly smile.
“Do..You play?” you ask.
You expected the same answer as always.
“Yes.”
Your eyebrows raise a little in shock.
“Why are you…Surprised?” he asks with a low chuckle.
“Sorry..It’s just…I don’t know too many people who do play.”
“Did you just move here?” he asks.
“Yeah..I’ve been asking people..To you know, make friends but…” you end it with a shrug.
He opens his mouth to say something but you hear a small voice close to you.
“Can I talk to you for a minute?”
You turn around to see a brunette, she’s hanging near the corner of the hallway. She staring dead at the boy you were talking to.
You turn back to the boy in front of you. He had a look that showed he was conflicted.
You make a small wave and started to be on your way. You didn’t look back.
“It was nice while it lasted.” you say in your head.
“So what did the doctor say?” your parent asks you.
“They said I have to wait up to a week to get back into using both hands.” you say over dinner.
“Well, that’s not bad. You catch on quick.”
“I know…You know I want to enter the music competition soon.”
That’s when they paused their chewing.
“You’re…Thinking about joining that?” they ask. You nod.
“Oh.” they comment.
“What?” you ask.
“It’s just….It’s your hobby and all but..For it to be your career…It’s very hard to make a profitable career out of that.”
“So..All of these years of classes and lessons are just going to be thrown away? Just like that?”
“I’m not saying that. Maybe it shouldn’t come first. You’ve always have gotten great grades. Y/N, it’s your final year before you go out into the real world. Picking a smart and lucrative career choice will help you be more prepared while being comfortable and stable.”
You sigh as you dig into your dinner. The same old talk.
“You start school tomorrow. Are you excited?” they ask with a smile. You mutter out a yes.
You lie in bed in the new home. After the divorce of your parents, you had to choose which one to stay with to finish out your year. The parent you chose, chose to move away for new beginnings. You didn’t mind. You were a bit happy that you got to start fresh in a way. You were a bit tired of your old school and wasn’t afraid of change.
The heat blasted from the vents of the car as you wrung your fingers a bit. A hand meets your hand.
“Easy, Y/N. Your wrist finally starting to heal up.”
“I know. Sorry.” you say and the school comes into view.
“I will be here when school lets out. Have a good first day.” they say with a big smile.
You get out after giving your parent a quick hug and you slowly walk towards the building.
You looked at your phone, checking the room number of where your home room was.
Chatters of different students meeting up with their friends were surrounding you and your ears.
Your eyes catch a familiar face. The same boy from the hospital, was leaning against his car. He seemed just as surprised to see you as you.
You continue walking however, you didn’t want to be overbearing.
You kept saying yes to people asking you if you were new. You were a bit tired of the question.
At lunch, people from classes that you did make small talk with, did ask you to sit with them.
When school was over, you walked out to the school lot. You saw the same boy from the hospital. This time, he made an effort to make a small wave. A small smile formed on your lips as you waved back.
“Y/N. Over here!” you hear and you internally groan with embarrassment.
“I know what your car looks like.” you say as you close the car door. They only laugh.
The next day, you walk to the school stairs, you slipped on the patch of ice.
A hand catches you and your heart race. You steady your knees and you look up to find the same boy.
“Thanks.” you say and he nods with a tight grin.
You start to walk away.
“You never told me your name.” he says.
“You never told me yours.” you reply back as you look back at him.
Names were then exchanged.
Edward was his name.
You both began to walk side to side.
“How long have you been playing?” he asks with interest.
“Since I gained consciousness.” you say with a small laugh. It was true. You don’t remember the first lessons, you just remember always having to go. His small laugh sounded a bit like bell chimes. It made you prolong your eye contact with him.
“What about you? You seem to be the expert.” you say.
“A very long time.”
“What’s a long time?” you playfully challenge.
You watch as his eyebrows furrow, as he continues to walk.
“What’s wrong…?” you ask slowly in slight confusion.
Shaking his head slightly, you both stop at the classroom you were supposed to go in, “Nothing…I would like to hear you play sometime.”
“Really? Well some time next week I should be good.” you say as you raise your wrists and you walk in the classroom. As you sat down, you realize that he was still standing at the same spot you left him in. It wasn’t until you were fully seated, you see him walk away.
A teacher asks you if you could take some paperwork to the office. You accept since your class work is completed.
You walk in the office and find that Edward is murmuring to the woman at the front desk.
“Here you go.” you say and Edward turns around. The woman thanks you and tells him with apologetic intentions, “It’s January, I’m afraid I can’t do that, Mr. Cullen.”
You watch as he has a wave of frustration be painted on his face.
You held the door open for him as you exit out.
“Cullen…So, your dad is Dr. Cullen?” you observe and ask.
“Yes.” he answered. You both walk as if there isn’t a rush to get to anywhere.
“He’s nice.” you comment.
“It wouldn’t be the first time he’s heard that.” he says.
“So..The blonde girl is your girlfriend?”
“No. She’s my sister.”
“Oh. Sorry.” you say sheepishly.
“It’s alright.”
“She’s beautiful.”
“It wouldn’t be the first time she’s heard that.” he says with a grin that makes you return it.
“So…How many siblings do you have?”
“Two brothers and two sisters.”
“Eventful.” you say and enter back into the classroom.
“How was school?” your parent asks you over dinner.
“It was fine.”
“Any new friends?”
“A couple. The people and the teachers there are nice.” you say as you look at your food.
“That’s good.”
“I didn’t know Dr. Cullen’s son went to this high school.”
“You met him?”
“Yeah. He’s nice too.” you say.
“The entire family keeps to themselves I heard.”
You nod at that.
You were in the middle of reading a book.
“No class this period?”
You look up and Edward is peering down at you as you sat in a chair in the school library, being immersed in the plot.
“Study hall.” you say.
He nods.
“What about you?”
“Free period.” he says as he sits in a seat that’s close to yours.
“Oh.” you say and close your book.
You look at him. “You know, I meant to tell you something.”
“What’s that?” he asks as he searched your face.
“You have unique eyes. Is it some type of…Condition or something?”
“….I guess you can say that….Yeah..It’s a condition.”
“Oh. Do you want to dive into that?” you ask.
“I prefer not. Is that alright?”
“Fine by me.”
“How did you mess up your wrist?”
You chuckle a bit before answering.
“Trampoline.”
It was his turn to match your chuckle.
“That’s interesting.”
“Yeah well…That’s what happened over the summer. Man, I was pissed. I was crying, not because of the pain, but because I couldn’t use both hands to play piano.” you say.
“Did you still use one hand?”
“Yeah. It’s boring though.” you say with a slight frown.
“Which wrist?”
You extend it.
“This one.”
You didn’t expect him to close his hand around it. His hands were cold, but it felt nice, like an ice pack. You’ve been using it to exercise it, so the cool sensation helped. In sync, you both lean in.
“Are you used to the cold? And snow?”
“Yeah. You?” you ask.
“Yeah. It’s my favorite time of the year.”
“Same. No annoying bugs.” you answer back.
He grins as he looked down at your wrist.
“Have you ever broken or sprained a bone before?” you ask.
“No.” he says.
“Aren’t you lucky.” you comment.
“I am.” he says and the bell rings.
You walk the halls to lunch, you find that the brunette girl from the hospital also went to the same school.
She looked at you only for a second before looking away.
In history, the teacher announced a project. You all had to pick a time period out of a bin, write in a journal and pretend to be someone who is living in the time period.
“Fun.” you said under your breath, you thought it was interesting.
A small journal was passed out, the teacher allowed you and others to work in groups if you wanted.
You started writing down your year in your journal.
“Are you working with someone?”
You look up to a familiar boy in the class. He was quiet, but sat in the back from the times you’ve been in this class.
You shake your head.
“Do you mind if we work together?”
“I don’t mind.” you say in a small voice.
As he sat down, he scoots his chair a bit away from you, but his presence was friendly enough that you didn’t feel offended, you felt a wave of calmness, you didn’t feel nervous like you thought you would be.
Smiling softly, “I don’t think I’ve ever heard you speak in class.” you say.
He shrugged with his own quiet smile.
“What year did you get?” you ask.
“The 1980’s.” he says with a roll of his eyes, “What about you?”
“1860’s.” you say sharing your distaste for the year you had to do, with a roll of your own eyes. You quickly saw a sparkle in his eye.
“What? You think this time period was interesting?” you ask. He nods a bit.
“So much history happened within that time frame.” he said with certainty.
“At least the 80’s were fun. Big hair, good music, and colorful vibes.” you say as you thought of music videos.
“It was alright.” he says but clears his throat, “I’m a bit old fashioned. I don’t really care to learn much about that time period but it looks like I have to.”
“Yeah.” you say as you look at him.
“So. Have any trouble?” he asks.
“The heck did people do for fun back then?” you say. You wanted to snooze.
“Play games, read, gamble on horse races.” he lists.
“How do you know so much?” you ask as you doodle spirals on the edge of your paper to kill time.
“I guess you can say I’m a history geek.”
You laugh a little, “What’s your name?”
Jasper.
As the bell rang to leave, “Pray for me. Hopefully I won’t fall asleep while writing.” you say jokingly.
A small laugh escaped his throat, “You will be fine…You can always ask me questions..”
“Cool. See you…Around?”
He nods once as a small and petite girl skips to his side. She brightly shined her sparkling smile at you.
“Hi.” she greets.
You wave.
“You’re new right?”
You nod.
“When did you move here?”
“A little last week.” you answer. She grins as she nods in acknowledgment. Her energy was high. You felt it was a bit contagious as you couldn’t help feel the excitement rubbing off on you.
“Do you like it here?” she asks as you walk. She hugged Jasper’s arm as you all walk the hallway.
“It’s been good to me so far.” you say.
You all three talk as you made your way to your last class of the day. Learning the girl’s name you tell her, “Nice to meet you again Alice. See you, Jasper.”
Coming out to the school lot, you see that the rest of Edward’s family is looking at you by their cars.
You then knew who Edward’s siblings were. All expect one. He was muscular and he held the blonde girl close to him.
You felt a bit nervous.
It was the weekend. You were thankful that you got to sleep in.
Pulling out your keyboard, you fiddle with it with your one hand.
You were bored. You missed trying to learn complex notes but you knew that if you forced the fast recovery, you wouldn’t be better.
You scrolled through the website of the music competition. You knew exactly what song you wanted to play. You had to submit a recording.
You didn’t care about the prize money, but just to show off your talents was something that you wanted to do.
The weeks rolled by, you could finally play again. You parent comes home and that’s all they hear, the tinkering of the keyboard and the piano that was in the home.
“When’s your lesson?” they ask as you help them unload groceries.
“Next week. I’ve been practicing.” you say with a grin.
“That’s nice. Fill out for colleges yet?”
That’s when you got quiet.
“Y/N.” they say in a warning tone.
“I’m working on it. I just don’t know what I want to do yet.” you say.
“You were always good with tech. Maybe, do something with math. It’s your highest grade.”
“Ugh, no. I only make sure it’s my highest because it’s important.” you say. They only sigh with a slight shake of their head as they state, “Your time is ticking.”
In lab, you sighed as you mixed substances with your lab partner.
“You’re joining this class?” you heard your teacher ask.
You look up and you almost took your goggles off. Edward looks at you as you looked at him.
“Y/N, you have to weigh it.” your lab partner beside you, tells you, the pen is in their hand and ready to write down the information on the worksheet.
“Right. Sorry.” you say and weigh the concoction in the glass measuring cup.
You watch him join a group, making him the third person.
When class was over, “You’re in this class?” you ask, trying your best to hold your excitement. He was a year below you. You didn’t know why you were excited. You brushed it off as it being happy to see a familiar face.
“Yeah.” he says casually.
“Willingly?” you ask and he nods.
“Jeez, no offense but, do you enjoy suffering?” you ask. You hated that class. Especially lab days. You were glad that the next day was a study hall instead of a double period.
He laughs, “It’s not that bad. I enjoy science.”
You both enter the hall and you place your hands together, “Be my guardian angel?”
“Next report period when it’s time to pick partners, just pick me. You’ll get an easy A.” he says with a slight shrug.
Jasper suggested that you both take turns reading each other’s journals. The due date was the next day.
He did a good job. It made you want to live in the 80’s. For Jasper, it was as if he went through a time machine.
You slide each other your journals back.
“Man, what a ride. I would’ve thought you lived it.” you say. You didn’t miss the flash of happiness. He then makes his face neutral.
“I can say the same.” he says, almost looking proud at your journal.
“I thought you weren’t interested in that time frame?” he continued to ask as if he caught your hand in the cookie jar. You shrug with a smile.
“I’m not. But, you gotta do what you gotta do right?” you reply as gesture the classroom.
He nods at that.
Before you could push the door open to leave the school building, you heard, “Do you have a ride?”
You turn to see Alice.
“Oh, hey. Um…I do.” you say.
She seemed a bit disappointed.
“Well, tomorrow we have a two hour delay. We should come to school together.” she suggests as she picks her mood back up.
Your eyebrows furrow in confusion, “How do you-”
The announcement came on, “A two hour delay is issued for Forks High School, tomorrow morning. Students don’t forget to….”
“Lucky guess. You should be gambler or something.” you say. She laughs a perfect laugh and links her arm with yours follows you outside.
“So, what do you say? I’ll get you breakfast.” she bribed.
“Oh wow, food? How could I say no?” you ask with a smile.
You still woke up at your usual time, you watched the snowflakes fall fast out of your window. You used the extra time to work the keyboard in your room with your headphones in. Your parent knows you have a way to school, they tell you to let them know if you need a ride back home.
You carefully walk down the steps. Edward leans against the car. You had to be careful with your steps as you observed the snowflakes that fell perfectly on him. You look away to not seem rude or weird. He closes the car door after you get in. Jasper and Alice is in the backseat.
“He was just standing out there like it isn’t freezing.” you say to them and they laugh as they looked at each other.
“I told you, it’s my favorite time of the year.” he says with a grin as he worked the steering wheel.
“You’re crazy, Edward.” you comments as you put your hands to the vents that blew out hot air.
“I know.” you heard him say.
People stared as you got out of the car. You didn’t know why. Your stomach was full from the breakfast that was in fact paid for by Alice. You had to fight with her to not be so sharing but she prevailed, saying she was keeping her promise.
“Uh.. Why are people staring?” you whispered to Edward as he walked close to you. Jasper had his arm around Alice.
“They just want to know how and why you’re around us.” he says with a lax expression.
Walking through the metal detectors and picking your bag back up.
“How do you know?” you ask.
“We stay to ourselves. Never felt the need to make new friends.” he explains as Jasper and Alice waved goodbye to you both.
After waving, you turn your head as you walk, “So, I’m the chosen one?” you say with a joking tone.
“That’s..One way to put it.” he says.
“So, answer their question. Why me?” you ask as you stop at your locker, placing your wet coat inside.
He leans next to the locker that’s beside you, “You don’t want friends?”
“Whatever.” you say with a light laugh, “If I don’t recall, you talked to me first.”
“I did?” he asks but you knew that he knew.
You shoot him a look.
“I still want to hear you play. It’s been more than a week.” he says.
With a slight smile as you look ahead of you as you walk, “You’ve been keeping count?”
“Call me excited. I want to see what you got.”
“Cool, I’ll send you a video when I get the chance.” you say and try to go into the classroom but a hand gently grasp your sweater covered arm. You look to him.
“In person.”
“Oh….Okay.” you say and you hesitantly walk in your classroom.
Your mind was on the thought of playing piano in front of Edward. You wondered how. Would he come over to your house? Would you go over his house? You immediately shook the thought out of your head. He already told you that him and his siblings really don’t bring people around them. But, you couldn’t help but wonder in your brain, “I wonder what made me the exception?”
“Y/N?”
You snap out of your thoughts. You clear your throat as the teacher and classroom was silent, waiting for your answer.
You look down on your worksheet and speak out an answer.
“Very good.” the teacher says and moves on.
Your class took notes in science, it didn’t help that you could see Edward from across the room. You didn’t know how it was possible for one to be so non sociable.
You sat sideways on the comfy library chair. It was in the back, the history section.
“Wait…You said you had two sisters. Who’s the brunette?” you ask in a bored tone, fidgeting idly with the book on one of the shelves.
“Bella Swan. She’s not related to us.”
“Oh. Your friend.”
Chuckling as he looked at his hands, “She’s not my friend.”
You look about. He watches you.
You sit up straighter, feeling slightly nervous under his gaze, “Something’s fishy.”
“What do you mean?” he asks in a stoic tone.
“Are you….” you sigh. He’s patient. You look down before looking up, “Are you and your siblings like….Blood related?”
He opens his mouth but you speak, “Sorry. That was rude. Damn.” you say.
“We are not.”
“Okay.”
“Don’t you want to ask something else?”
“Is it obvious?” you ask and he nods.
“Well….” you say and look at him in the eye before looking at his fabric covered chest, “Are you all…Adopted?”
“Yes.”
You look at him.
“So….” you sigh and shake your head and he asks, “What?”
You sigh a bit before giving him a nervous smile, “I see how Alice and Jasper act towards….Each other…I’m not judging but…”
“Yes. They’re dating.”
“Oh.” you say as you swallow and grab a book off of instinct.
“Are you weirded out?” he asks. He didn’t seem uncomfortable. He simply asked.
You open and close it as you look down. “Yeah.”
“Many are.”
“Like I said, who am I to be someone’s judge?” you propose.
He doesn’t say anything after that.
At lunch, you chewed slowly. You looked up a couple of times at Jasper’s table. The blonde girl and the brawny boy who was their brother. They all three glanced your way and you felt small in a way. But, you look back to what the person next to you at the table was saying.
You wondered if the other brother played a sport, but he didn’t hang out with the guys who were on actual teams.
The history teacher turns on a movie and makes everyone write down answers for the worksheet.
You were thankful for the distraction.
Pulling your coat out, you hear your name.
You turn around, to find Edward standing there.
You look.
“Do you have any plans after school?”
You rack your brain, but it’s been such a relaxed day, that homework was done.
“Um…” you say and you immediately think of your keyboard that you left on your bed.
“Honestly I’m just trying to get home and relax.”
He blinked at your answer.
Alice then bounces in your view.
“Hey, you.” she says with a smile.
“Oh. Hey. Thanks so much for this morning. That really meant a lot.” you say.
She touched your arm with a grin.
“Come on, ride back with us.” she persuades.
“Oh…”
“We have a piano at our house.” she says.
“You did that on purpose.” you say with a small laugh as you close your locker and start to walk.
“What?” she asks.
“I wanted to go home and relax and here you are bribing me once again.” you say.
At your side, “Carlisle says that your wrists are way better.” Alice chirped.
“Who’s that?” you ask dripping in confusion.
“Sorry..Our father.”
You never thought to call your parent by their first name like that. But you still didn’t judge.
“Oh. Yeah. I’m just using my keyboard for right now.” you say as you walk out the school doors.
“Well.. Our piano is huge. You should see it. Maybe play for us.” she says as you walk down the school stairs.
“Hmm…” you say with dramatic sarcasm.
“Please?” she dragged on.
“You guys act like I’m a special composer or something.” you say as you look at both Alice and Edward.
“We’re parked over here.” Alice grabs your hand.
On a doctor’s salary, there was just no way. You subtly peered around the home.
The parents. They looked so vibrant. So youthful. Dr. Cullen almost shined as he stood next to his smiling wife.
“Hi, Dr. Cullen.” you say.
Esme was the mother’s name.
“I like your name.” you compliment. She seemed touched and complimented yours back.
“Carlisle is okay. I already know who you are Y/N.” he says in a friendly tone.
Shrugging your coat off, it’s taken out of your hands as Edward placed a hand on your shoulder.
You saw it. You silently let your jaw drop. You walk out from under Edward’s hand.
It sat tall and strong. It was grand. It was shiny as if it was newly purchased. You thought you were dreaming. You could almost hear it whispering your name.
“Oh my gosh.” you whisper.
“What is it?” You hear Esme ask.
“This piano….Do you mind if I-“
“Of course. Yes. Please do.” she says, almost excited as you.
You sit at the bench.
Edward was immediately near you and if you weren’t so distracted, you would’ve wondered how he had gotten there so fast.
With a smile that made your cheeks sore, your fingers pressed down on the keys with precision. Your foot tapped the pedal as music filled the living room. You stop your tiny concert short as you felt that you were overstaying your company.
“Why did you stop?” you collectively heard.
“Sorry..I didn’t know..” you say and you rise from the bench, feeling a bit sheepish from the attention.
The blonde that had her arms crossed looked at the area you were in, with slight interest. She reminded you of an ice queen.
“So. Whats the new rank?” the boy who was brawny spoke up. His voice was deep and displayed a smirk.
The blonde taps the back of her hand onto his chest with a clenched jaw. He looked at her with slight apologetics.
Edward chuckled next to you.
Emmett.
You knew off of the top, he knew how to liven up a room.
“Rank of what?” you ask.
“Nothing. Ignore him.” the blonde says snappily.
Rosalie.
Emmett and Rosalie reminded you of Jasper and Alice in a way. You didn’t want to ask questions, but you couldn’t stop the questions from coming inside of your brain.
“You’re talented.” Esme says to you without drawing attention.
You show sincere appreciation.
You held and read his music sheets as you sat on his couch. His room was spacious. He invited you up as he could tell you weren’t going to touch the piano anymore.
Edward let you take the lead in the conversation. Allowing you to talk about yourself and what you want to do passionately.
“A competition?” he asks with interest. You only nod as you sat his sheets down.
“So. When am I going to see you play?” you ask.
He doesn’t say anything for a moment before peering at the floor for a moment.
“Soon.”
“I’m keeping you to your word.” you say.
“Please do.”

Shadow X GN Reader
Intertwined
Based off of one of my favorite Dodie songs Shadow has a nightmare and you comfort him back to sleep lot of hurt/comfort with lots of sweet cuddles.
-Enjoy
It was his thrashing that woke you up. with the sheer amount of trauma it was never a bother to you, his nightmares. you were used to them at this point it. Still seeing the love of your life suffer at the chaos in his own mind made your heart break just as much as the first time you saw it.
you learned to proceed with caution, waking him up prematurely could cause him further confusion which would only make the situation worse. sometimes as much as your hand pressed against his back was enough to calm him down no waking up necessary. unfortunately, tonight was not one of those nights.
Shadow bolted upright out of bed letting out a cry of agony his eyes shot open as tears began to stream soaking his face and dripping onto the bedsheets below.
"Hey, hey, hey, I'm here it's okay." you leaped into action speaking gently as you made your way into his line of vision. "Take a deep breath it was just a dream. you're safe, I promise."
Shadow obeyed as you gently cupped his face wiping the tears from his eyes. He was shaking whatever he was dreaming about really must have messed with his head.
you wrapped your arms around him attempting to steady him. he buried his face in the crook of your neck wrapping his arms tightly around you, as if you were to disappear if he let go.
You waited for him to speak. It always took him a moment to collect his thoughts after a particularly bad nightmare.
"Are you sure you're safe with me?" He finally broke the silence.
"What? Of course I am, What makes you think that?"
"I know that people want me for my power, they can't hurt me, they know that, but what's keeping them from hurting you? Eggman he took you, tortured you, and let you die in front of me. all while I was powerless to stop him."
"That's not going to happen Shadow."
"How do you know?"
"Because, You won't let it, and neither will I, you trained me to protect myself remember?"
"yah but-"
"There will always be a but my love. Being with you, being with anyone really, there is always some sort of risk. I chose you and will continue to choose you despite those risks. Not because I don't care about them, but because every second you're in my life it makes all of those risks worth it. Feel this." You placed his hand on your chest so he could feel your pulse. "I'm still here, see? and you're here with me, which means no matter what even if an enemy crashes through that door right now I am still safe because were together."
"I still worry about you."
"I know, and I'm grateful just relax and lay with me for now, tell me everything I want to hear it you don't have to go through it alone.
You laid down, Shadow following suit placing his head on your chest so he could hear your heart beat, the rhythmic thumping calming him as he wrapped himself around you.
'Skin. Heat. Hair in your mouth, feet touching feet. you and I, safe from the world, though the world will try.'
you stroked the top of his head feeling him melt into you as your hand moved along his silky quills.
"You know you're the only one who can do that right?" He commented
You giggled "Yah, I Know"
You felt him smile against you.
'Numb, Fine, You create the rarity of my genuine smile. So breathe, breathe with me.'
Shadow began telling you about his nightmare, all the horrible details of an event that would never come to pass. He told you about the anxiety he felt when he couldn't find you. how he hated himself for letting you get hurt even though it was just a dream. he didn't want his mind to go there it just did on it's own.
'Can you drink all my thoughts cause I can't stand them'
Shadow wrapped himself around you further, as if he were trying to merge your bodies together, so you would never have to be apart again.
"I would never forgive myself if anything happened to you on my watch, I can't lose you, not in the way I lost everyone else."
"I know dear, that's why I won't let it happen."
'Intertwined. Free. I've pinned each and every hope on you, i hope that you don't bleed with me.'
the more shadow talked the more at ease you felt him become, his grip loosened on you as his muscles relaxed, his head grew heavy against you easing you into a relaxed state as well.
When he was done you thanked him for telling you everything, you reassured him that everything would be fine, as long as the two of you worked as a team which seemed to comfort him.
'I'm afraid of the things in my brain. but we can stay here and laugh away the fear'
you hummed mindlessly as you stroked Shadows head lulling him to sleep, you followed suit not long after. The rest of the night was silent as the two of you slept in each other's arms, fighting off whatever nightmares came your lover's way.

Hey, let's talk :D
magicorangelove
#the first part I wholeheartedly agree with and would like to see too - no matter how you love someone it is An Adjustment to start#living with someone#after 30+ years living alone and having this image of a person in your mind#and i don’t actually think lsz lived WITH lwj when he was small#first seclusion and then he was 6-7… anyway#the last part i don’t particularly agree with ‘cause i don’t think THOSE are the parts lwj has no idea about or would find surprising#or eye-opening or whatever#the day-to-day struggles on the other hand?…#also i do think he got better with expressing himself by this time…#then I remember that he failed to tell wwx about ayuan#and go…maybe not…..#then i think how that might have been for wwx’s benefit and change my mind again…..
For me, Lan Zhan at some point will start catching up to the moral hangover, but not because he will be surprised by the less savoury parts of his beloved, but because he will start noticing his own willingness to accept them and that can be a scary thing.
(I don't mean that WWX is a bad person - he's actually a really good guy with his heart in the right place, who tries to do a good thing whenever he can. But he also has a checkered past, made some choices that, while understandable, are morally indefensible, and he has serious issues with emotional intimacy and honesty, and a scary penchant for self-sacrifice.)
Until the realtionship started, Lan Wangji's intention towards his Wei Ying was to be The Saviour.
Like, throughought the whole of Sunshot all he tried to do was to Save Him - from the bad war, from the bad cultivation, from the bad sects... Then, he spent over a decade regetting not Saving Him. And then WWX came back and it was saving him from the bad Jiang Cheng. So, for the last 20 or some years, LWJ lived exclusively in the mode of The Saviour. WWX returning had to be like a blessing to him, he finally could play out his greatest fantasy! He got to save his beloved from more than one villain and after all that, he got to kiss him and take him to bed home! Gasp! He got his happy ending! He got to ride of into the sunset and now...
...now what? What now, once LWJ has to start realising that Wei Ying doesn't need a Saviour anymore, and that outside of that role he doesn't really know what to do? Once he has a chance to process, to familiarise himself with Wei Ying the person, he will have to face some moral quandaries he didn't have to face before. He was raised in a certain way and, as much as he carries anger towards his sect and the rules he was raised in, he was still raised with certain kind of morality that, given his character, I don't see him discarding easily or without a solid reason.
Until now the reason was his role of the Saviour that subsumed everything else. But since he doesn't have to be that anymore, what came he his behind now?
Uncritical love?
I don't think Wei Wuxian is someone who can be loved uncritically - for his own good. As much as everyone would want that for themselves in the imaginary world, lack of boundaries in a relationship harms both sides. WWX is a person that will strain against every lead put on him - and if he can't feel one, he will keep desperately pushing further and further until he feels something holding him back.
That's how he lived his first life - notice, he was always fighting for the attention of the people who were providing him with barriers. He wasn't bothering Lan Xichen in Gusu (arguably evenore handsome than Wangji) - he was exclusively pissing off Wangji and Lan Qiren. He wasn't bothering JFM, trying to discover his boundaries - he was annoying the shit out of JC and almost taunting Madame Yu. Almost, as if he needed people who would try to limit him in some way. To feel safe, maybe? To feel noticed?
He was always noticed and it never seemed enough. What can Lan Zhan do that a whole Jiang sect wasn't enough to do for their super star? Love him? As if he wasn't loved before???
So, like, if Lan Zhan is not a Saviour, that means Wei Ying isn't the damsell - as much as he likes to play up being one. He's not the princess in need of a knight. He's not perfect. Not innocent - I think Wei Wuxian would at some point become desperate for Lan Zhan to know that he's not perfect, ecause for how long can you stand to be placed on a pedestal you feel you don't feel you deserve to stand on?
The whole "between us there's no need for thank yous and sorrys" is such a deep quote - as long as you're 15 and never had a meaningful relationship of any kind. Because thank yous and sorrys are a part of normal human communication, and that communication is needed to maintain any sort of relationship - and here we have two characters obscenly bad at communicating and emotional honesty, and once you take even that simple scaffold away...
Yeah, this won't be smooth sailing for either of them.
I'd really love to read a fic where a year past the canon ends, Lan Zhan starts to realise that his dreamed-up perfect relationship with Wei Ying isn't what he imagined it to be.
That what he got is actually a wholeass person with imperfections that will get annoying after a while, with opinions that he doesn't agree with and behaviours he's not prepared to just accept. A human person that will lie to keep him happy, that will leave when any possibility of strife approaches, that sometimes doesn't want to have sex - or that sex isn't a cure-all for their problems. That whatever Jiang Cheng experienced growing up with Wei Wuxian will fall on Wangji too, because love doesn't change you as a person in 100%, sorry.
Because that's what think will be a hurdle for him - he never was in a relationship. He never even had real human friends. Fuck, he doesn't seem to have acquaintances. All he ever had was a made-up image of a boy he knew shortly in his late teens and a sect where he was the lauded Young Master everyone respected. He can't stoically stand a kid talking back to him without a silencing spell and has difficulty expressing the most basic things in useful words. For all the soulmate talk, he didn't even know the boy he dreamed building a life with - that Wei Wuxian never existed outside of Wangji's limited glimpses of him and a lot of forgiving assumption.
Like, when will it hit him that Wei Ying is actually a complex human being that isn't just for him to care about and love, and that he himself isn't happy with some things? Will he one night wake up in cold sweat when he finally understands that the man sleeping next to him orchestrated a horiffic surgery on himself and his brother, and never indicated that he regrets it and wouldn't do it again? That the man sleeping next to him kinda-sorta just looked on as people were murdered in front of him, and didn't really have any strong opinion about being brought back via human sacrifice?
Like, discarding stiff and stifling Lan rules after being burned by them is one thing, but this is a moral quandary that goes way beyond that.
#mdzs#wangxian adjacent#i just don't buy their 'romance' as anything more than infatuation#because even when wwx is alive lwj is already falling for a concept of him#and wwx falls for the safety lwj symbolises when he needs to escape the emotional fallout of his death

A desperate cry on your deathbed leads to you being given a fresh start at life. You're overjoyed at having finally obtained a healthy body and a real chance at living normally, only to discover that you've been transported into a yandere game, where danger lurks at every corner. Determined to protect your new life at any cost, you vow to stay as far away from the major characters of the game as possible. But things don't always go as planned.

When you arrived back at the manor, it was clear that you needed to get your shit in order.
The situation was crazy to begin with, but this newest revelation was something you just couldn’t wrap your head around. It was one thing to reincarnate into the past, or even in a separate world, given the very high likelihood of multiple galaxies existing. But this was just a game. It wasn’t real. So then, how was this possible?
Obviously, you didn’t have the answer to that question, and you weren’t even sure if you ever would find the answer. But that was really beside the point. It didn’t matter how you ended up here—what mattered was what in the hell you were going to do.
For the time being, you decided to lock yourself in your room and try to rack for your brain for just about everything you could remember. Thankfully, you’d just recently finished the game, so most of the details were still relatively fresh in your mind.
The most pressing issue was obviously that the game you found yourself in was by no means a happy one. It was marketed as a dark fantasy for a reason, because the love interests were dangerous and hardly good people. The yandere genre had become explosively popular over the course of the past decade. It was particularly enjoyable due to the strange thrill it provided people with, the mystery and suspense, but yanderes were far from desirable. The game had both a good and bad ending for each of the love interests, with all of the bad endings being remarkably messed up, and even the “good” endings were plenty concerning in their own right.
Which is why it was quite a bitter irony that the game was called Zodin’s Benevolence, given that there was nothing truly benevolent about the twisted challenges the protagonist was forced to undergo. She repeatedly found herself tangled up in all sorts of sinister plots after being adopted into a baron’s family and acquiring a noble status.
The good news was that you hadn’t been reincarnated as the protagonist, which meant that so long as you kept your distance from the main events of the storyline, there shouldn’t really be any reason for you to get dragged into that mess.
A grimace fell upon your lips. Thinking about it like that, it sounded a bit selfish to intentionally ignore a poor woman’s suffering, but you’d finally been given a chance at a proper life. The last thing you needed was to suffer a gruesome death at the hands of yanderes simply because you’d interfered with their twisted obsessions.
“I will do absolutely nothing,” you stated determinedly. “There’s no way my character even existed in the first place. When I woke up in this world, it sort of created a little slot for me to fit in. In other words, I’m a side character, and my actions should have no effect on the story so long as I don’t get involved.”
Yes, that was the plan. Do nothing. You could do that. You were very good at doing nothing.
The rules of this “game” you found yourself in—both literally and figuratively—were rather simple. Actually, there was only one rule at all, and that was to stay as far away from the protagonist and yanderes as possible. Which, given that you’d accidentally run into Cassius today, meant that you already weren’t off to a very good start. But a simple bump-in shouldn’t be reason enough for him to go after you with a vengeance. Apart from deliberating angering him, the only thing you could of think that would incur his wrath would be to prevent him from interacting with the game’s protagonist.
Speaking of... how far into the game am I at this point?
The game began with the protagonist being adopted by a kind baron after dutifully waiting on him during one of his trips to the countryside. She then proceeded to move into his estate, getting acquainted with her new life, and promptly beginning lessons at the renowned academy in Zodite’s capital city, as per her adoptive father’s wishes to grant her a formal education. This was the catalyst that set the plot in motion, because it was at the academy that the protagonist met the first yandere—none other than Cassius himself.
As far as you could recall, Zodin’s Benevolence began sometime early summer, because the baron encountered the protagonist while in the middle of a leisurely seasonal trip. Given how warm the weather currently was, summer was either peeking right around the corner, or already here. Which meant that there likely wasn’t much time left until the official plot was set in motion.
Although you had no concrete benchmark as to when it would officially begin, one thing was for sure. If you wanted to avoid an early death again, you would need to keep your eyes peeled for the protagonist’s appearance and keep her away from you by any means.
You frowned, nibbling on your bottom lip.
It’s okay. I can be selfish. No, I have to be selfish. It’s the only way.
Dying from illness was one thing, but the things those crazy bastards were capable of... you had a feeling that dying by their hands would be a million times more painful than anything you’d ever endured.
This new life had been placed right in the palms of your hands, and you’d be damned if you were going to let go of it.
“Mom, dad. Do you think it would be alright if I stopped going to the academy?”
After having discovered that you were in a yandere dating sim, that was the question you chose to ask your parents the very next morning.
Naturally, they were completely flabbergasted.
“Is this another one of your jokes? You wanted to go to school so badly up until now. Sorry, we’re just struggling to understand where all this is coming from.”
It had been your hope that in not attending the academy, you could prevent any run-ins with both the protagonist and the yanderes. But truthfully, you did want to go to school, because your sickness had prevented you from actually attending college back in your old world. It sounded like the version of you in this world was interested in pursuing an education as well, so perhaps it was for the best that you went. You couldn’t stand to see your parents’ disappointed expression once more, even in this reality.
From what you recalled seeing in the game, the campus was quite large, so if you were cautious, there was no reason for you to get wrapped up with the yanderes.
That being said...
You still didn’t want to be ill-prepared for what this world had to offer. There was only so much that had been outright stated in the game; you would have to find out the rest for yourself. One of the key points that you wanted to look into was the usage of magic. In this world, magic was mainly used through magical ores, which helped to supply certain buildings with things like electricity, heat, and even reinforcing walls with something akin to a barrier. Some people were blessed with magical abilities themselves, although it was exceedingly rare. The topic of mages had been briefly touched upon in the game, and it seemed as though with every passing generation, fewer and fewer people found themselves capable of such feats. Dwindling bloodlines, or something like that.
It did make you curious, though. Was it at all possible that you might be fortunate enough to be a mage yourself? If so, you could train your abilities to make sure that you would be able to protect yourself from harm in the event that something really did go wrong.
You didn’t really know how to use magic, though. After all, the game didn’t exactly expand on this detail very much.
So, you tried various methods to see if you could channel some hidden power. Reciting cringy incantations, straining your body so hard that it made you feel like you had to rush to the bathroom—you even drew a horribly misshapen pentagram on the floor of your bedroom, with leftover jam from your breakfast, and Lizbell nearly fainted when she saw the mess.
Needless to say, none of it worked, so you decided to just come out and ask.
“Can I use magic?”
For the second time that same morning, your parents gaped at you.
“My dear, what’s the matter?” your father chuckled. “You’ve been going full throttle since yesterday. Your mother and I can hardly keep up.”
“Does that mean I can’t use magic?”
“Of course not, good heavens. You know very well we don’t come from a family of mages.”
Despite their immediate dismissals, you knew that it was possible for people to potentially grow into their magical powers. Magical ability was traditionally passed down by blood, but it could just as easily manifest in an unsuspecting individual. Hopefully, that individual was you.
“I haven’t been able to use magic up until now, but something may have changed recently,” you persisted. “That’s what I meant. I’m wondering if my abilities have awakened by now.”
Fortunately, your parents had always been the patient sort, so they merely shrugged their shoulders. “If you're really still holding out hope for a thing, then you can always go and get tested at the Bureau of Magic.”
You decided to do just that. The Bureau of Magic’s central headquarters was a large, impressive building. You didn’t really know anything about this organization, but you were tickled pink by the thought of being magically gifted on top of having perfect health. You could already imagine it, shooting fireballs from your hands and creating geysers out of nothing.
You were going to be the best mage ever—
“Zero magical affinity,” the man testing you stated. “Although there are cases where people may develop magic over time, by looking at your mana reservoir, I can tell that there is absolutely no chance of you ever becoming a mage.”
Well, that was certainly a short-lived dream.
The man then frowned, peering closer into the strange device he was measuring your aptitude with. “Come to think of it though, this is really strange. Even average citizens have very trace amounts of mana in their system. Mana is present in all living things, whether or not they can actually manifest that mana and convert it into magical energy. I’ve never seen a case like yours before, not in all my years of working here. You’re an anomaly. Almost as if you aren’t meant to be a part of this world...”
Uh-oh. It sounded like he was starting to get suspicious, so you hurried to wave him off. “Your machine must be broken,” you dismissed flippantly. “Anyways, I’ve already lost interest in becoming a mage, so I’ll just have to take your word for it.”
“What? Miss, if you could just—”
“Gotta go, bye!”
Since magic was clearly a no-go, you figured you should at least have another plan to fall back onto. You were weak and sickly back in your previous life, but you had a perfectly healthy body in this one. There was no reason you couldn’t pick up a weapon and learn how to protect yourself. For instance, sword-fighting!
“You want to do what?” your parents blanched. It was the third time today that they were confused beyond belief, though they looked particularly horrified in this instance.
“Sword-fighting,” you repeated calmly. “I just think it’d be neat.”
“Oh, [Name], but why that of all things? Those blades are seriously dangerous, you know. You could hurt yourself!”
“Well, not if I’m good at it.”
“Someone in your position will never have to worry about their safety,” they insisted. “We can hire more guards to keep watch outside the manor if it’ll help you feel better. Come on now, what use have you for a weapon like that?”
“It’s not that I’m worried about my safety.” That’s a lie. “I just want to challenge myself and see if I can do this. Plus, I think it’d be pretty amazing if I could pull something like this off. I’d be bragging about it constantly.” Okay, that part isn’t entirely a lie.
Their reluctance was plain as day, but as expected—they just couldn’t seem to say no to you.
“Very well,” your father sighed. “But we’ll at least be hiring an instructor to ensure that you have someone watching over you and making sure you’re safe while you train. Please allow us at least this much.”
“Yeah, that’s fine!” you beamed. “I’ll learn faster with a teacher, anyways.”
So far, things were looking good. You had your plan to stay out of everyone’s way and make sure you didn’t become a target, and in the event that it all failed, you would at least have some way of fighting for your life.
“Oh, and uh, the sooner the better,” you said. “I’d like to start learning as early as possible, since I’m just so excited! Okay? Okay!”
You proceeded to skip out the room before they could mutter a protest.
It was actually incredible how much your parents loved you. They were parents from a different reality, but your parents nonetheless. In spite of their visible concerns to allow you to wield a sword, they’d managed to secure you a personal instructor in less than twenty-four hours.
Currently, you were out in the courtyard, eagerly awaiting your guest. You were dressed in a loose tunic and comfortable pants that were perfecting for working up a sweat in. It was a shame you couldn’t wear clothes like these more often, though you had to admit that your collection of dresses was rather delightful.
It was hot out. Definitely summer, you were sure of it now. It was a good thing you were starting your sword-fighting lessons so early on. Even if you never ending up needing your soon-to-be lethal skills, you would definitely feel more at ease knowing that you had them.
Your personal instructor was apparently a knight, so you were already inclined to trust that he had hands-on experience. You wondered what he’d look like. Knights in fantasy settings like this one were always so damn attractive. Hopefully he wasn’t much older than you...
Ah, focus, goddammit! What does it matter what he looks like? The most important thing is staying alive.
You lightly slapped yourself upside the head. Right. No distractions. You were no longer the same weak person from your miserable previous life. You were a living miracle, and a future sword-wielding badass.
Hardly a minute later, your tortuous wait seemed to have come to an end, and you were able to get a good look at your new instructor.
Wait, is that...
“Good day, Lady [Name],” the knight greeted, bowing his head courteously. “My name is Sergei Garin, member of the Cavalry Brigade. I am humbled to be in your service.”
You couldn’t quite seem to hide the shock on your face. Sergei Garin. You knew this character. Fortunately, he wasn’t one of the yanderes—otherwise, you would’ve probably feigned a heart attack to get out of this situation. No, he was nothing but a supporting character, although a character that you admittedly had a soft spot for.
Why did you have a soft spot for him? Well...
Probably because he was fated to die.

Top Five Models: Bio for Veronika Zemanova.
"I was born in a small city in the Bohemian region of the Czech Republic on the 14th of April, 1975. My childhood in The Czech Republic was a lot different than it would have been either in another time (for instance now, after the fall of Communism) or another place (like in the West). Although it was different, it was still wonderful, as all childhoods should be. My parents were great and I had a lot of good friends. At an early age I became very interested in biology and the visual arts. I dreamed then of becoming a biologist. In 1989, I entered my first year of gymnasium (or high school, as Americans call it). This happened to be the year that everything changed for everyone, not only in the Czech Republic, but in all of what used to be the Eastern Bloc. The first years of the new system were particularly difficult years for just about everyone. It was during this time that many beautiful Czech girls left for the West, looking for opportunities to make more money than they had a chance to earn in the Czech Republic. I was, of course, too young to leave, so I stayed and finished gymnasium."
"After gymnasium, I spent three years at a photography school. To make for money for school (which was expensive) and living expenses, I did a whole bunch of different things: I was a bartender, a saleswoman for such things as wallpaper and photographic equipment, and I started my own photo studio. The studio was just beginning to be successful when someone stole all of the very expensive equipment, some of which I had not even paid for yet. At this point I was forced to return to working for other people (I much prefer working for myself). I bought a large make-up kit and began working as an assistant to photographers and make-up artists. It was very difficult work and did not always pay that well, but I enjoyed myself and learned a lot that is useful to this day. One day, I had a big job scheduled for the next day and was preparing for it when I realized that someone had stolen my entire make-up kit! I went to the photographer in tears of frustration to tell him that I could not do the work. He suggested that I work the event as a model instead. Thus began the wonderful modeling career of Veronika Zemanova!"
"I was very surprised to find that after that first modeling job (which I hadn't believed I was pretty enough for) I was being offered all kinds of other modeling jobs all over the world. Initially all I wanted to do was to make enough money to pay off all of the equipment that had been stolen, but soon I had made enough to not only pay that back, but had enough to start an entirely new and better studio. I was working at the studio as a photographer, agent, and make-up artist while also doing modeling work for others. Soon however, the modeling became too time consuming for me to put in the necessary hours at the studio, and so I sold the studio. These first years of modeling were not easy! Remember, at first I did not speak any English at all! Being in new countries alone, finding myself in strange and even risky situations, and so forth. However, I don't want to sound as though it was only bad or difficult; I was able to travel extensively, it was exciting work, I learned English (finally!), and made many beautiful photos of which I am still proud. And good money!"
"After I had been modeling for a while, I decided to start a web-site with an Italian photographer. The idea to do this came about after seeing so many photos of myself on the web. Eventually however, I decided to disassociate myself from the site, and am no longer connected to it in any way."
"I created my own web-site and it was very successful. I believe this will be the best site of its kind and that I will really enjoy the chance to not only model, but photograph, act as an agent, and maybe even do make-up! I hope you enjoy it as much as I will enjoy creating it!"
"I always wanted keep my private life totally unknown to the public. That is what all the glamour models do. But I have decided to break the rule to reveal that I was married on November 12, 2003, in a ceremony performed on the beach of the island of Mauritius. I did it because I am in love. I have also decided to quit my glamour-modeling career. I had a choice between a career or a good relationship. I have chosen to make the man I love feeling happy and comfortable with me. This is why I have chosen to stop modeling. Do you think this is risky? But that's what love is about. You need to take risks. Please do not be sad for it and wish me luck."
Veronika's modeling career which began in ernest in 1997 would end after a 12 year run in 2009. Those years would furnish us with well over 30000 photographs and videos which will forever immortalize the beauty which was/is Veronika for this generation and those to come. Her very last professionally taken photo was shot by Scotty JX at her Ibiza property on Sept. 28, 2009.
Even the photographers who worked with Veronika were awe struck by her beauty as a few of them recount below:
Early on Veronika went to Italy and worked with such greats as Roberto Rocchi and Alberto Magliozzi. Roberto Rocchi even went on to quote in his book "Forme e Percorsi Del Corpo" that Veronika was "a wonder of nature".
J.Stephen Hicks went on to write in his Hall of Fame post about his experience with Veronika:
"Veronica Zemanova was (and is) truly one of a kind. And I was the first American photographer to shoot her. Someone from Prague (can you believe I don't remember who) sent me photos of her and I (we) immediately made it our mission to contact her, fly her to the U.S. and shoot her. We agreed by e-mail to do several days of work in our studio in L.A. and then fly her to Mexico for additional scenes. Upon arriving at LAX, Veronica was shy and honestly a bit untrusting. She'd just turned nineteen at the time and was green in every way. Veronica grew up in a little Czech town called Ceske Budejovice and her beginnings were poor and without stability. One thing was for sure, Veronica had no idea how truly beautiful she was."
"We spent the first days shooting her giving her complete direction. Seriously, dictating every move of her body from head to toe, including expressions. It was a bit like working with a perfect doll that we were animating. And honestly at that point in her evolution, not really trusting us and not really knowing her beauty and being such a newbie model, I think she wasn't having a great time. Despite knowing she was gonna get a bunch of money her modeling personality was kind of benign to be honest. She wasn't mean or bitchy, just kinda stuck in neutral. Funny thing was though, it didn't even matter. 'Cause Veronica was flat out GORGEOUS or would the word be SUBLIME or RAVISHING?"
"Lets just say she was simply STUNNING, BREATHTAKING, and MIND BLOWING"
“We shot her a ton on her first trip to the U.S. and we also took her to Mexico for some unforgettable images. She came back and shot with us several times after her first journey. The last time we shot her she was a few years older, had new boobs (crazy huh?) but best of all she'd met her husband, a man she said loved her more for who she was than what she looked like. And Veronica was beaming, warm and happy. And we were happy for her."
"There will never be another Veronica I'm certain. She was one of kind that will never be reproduced unless computer generated. I consider us oh so lucky to have experienced shooting her at the very best time in her career. Her images of beauty will live on forever".

Okay first of all I love your first post was bonding to my ask but also I was wondering could I get some head cannons on Ford being the twins caregiver( the baby twins Dipper and Mabel)
@pinkyshy10 i want to make sure I get the notification that's why I'm tacking myself
Thank you for your ask, of course you can get some hc of Ford being Dipper and Mabel’s caregiver! I loved writing this request so much! The babies! ! I did talk about Stanley helping some, but this is all Ford caregiving for the twins! The three of them are such cuties!!! I hope it lives up to your expectations! I’m so sorry it’s so late, I’ve got a back log but I’m working through them! Please stay nice and warm this week!
I’ll tag you here so you can see it too, just in case: @pinkyshy10
As always, I’m always open for helpful comments and critiques!
Sending you all the loce in the world!
-_-_ -_-_ -_-_ -_-_ -_-_ -_-_ -_-_ -_-_ -_-_ -_-_ -_-_ -_-
-Ford never expected to be a caregiver to two small children, nonetheless children that regress, but he takes it in stride. He loves his niblings and would do anything for them, so of course he’s more than willing to watch over and care for them, letting the two of them crawl into his bed when they have a nightmare or two
-He’ll ease them back to sleep with the more happy tales from his time dimension hopping, telling them how cute they looked in that baby dimension. He’ll pat their backs and brush their hair-trying to remember how it was his mother and then Stanley consoled him. They snuggle on his chest and pass out near instantaneously once he gets them settled
-He did feel overwhelmed at first, but he has Stanley to support him and calm him down. It helps that the twins don’t always regress together, though it’s more often than not
-Ford would be a less stern caregiver for the twins than Stanley would be. Surprising everyone, but this is the man who gave a 12 year old a crossbow
-He’s stricter with what they eat and when they sleep, but for everything in between Ford has more of a “all long as nobody gets seriously injured” mindset
-They need nap time and semi-nutritious food. Nap time isn’t hard, but it’s not easy. The twins, energetic on the regular, are hyperactive when they regress, if they could bounce off the walls, Ford bets they would. To get them to take a nap, he’ll try to tire them out but chasing them, but when that doesn’t always work, he’ll wrap them up tightly in a big blanket, lay them down with some pillows in the floor, turn down the lights, and either play a really boring black and white that would him to sleep or roughly hum an old lullaby he picked up from someone, scratching their heads to lull them to sleep
-He uses their nap time to get some alone time, decompress and to breathe from all the energy he had been surrounded with, Stanley looking over the twins to give him brother a break
-Food is…another issue. Ford can make a mean sandwich and pour juice and milk, he can put fruits and veggies on a tray with some cheese or dipping sauce, but he cannot cook. Not well and not palatable enough for two regressed tweens, if they want edible Mac and cheese or pancakes, it’s either they don’t get any and Ford’s at the wrong end of sad puppy dog eyes, or he’s asking Stanley to make them
-He won’t let them eat Greasy’s when he’s caring for them, he thinks it’s too unhealthy for such young children (and he had such a bad experience there he never wants to go back)
-It took some getting used to, caring for Dipper and Mabel when they regress, but he does have help in the form of Stanley, who’ll act as a babysitter if Ford needs to have his attention elsewhere for a moment or two. Ford also learned the basics of caring for children from Stan, though he has to modify it to fit in with the twins’ smaller ages
-It surprised him to find out that Little Dipper (so Ford’s nickname for him now) is more talkative than a Little Mabel. She does talk, but she’s quieter, more content to observe, unless you bring up a topic she’s super interested in. Dipper, however will go on and on about anything and everything. He is a “but why” little, which, Ford loves how inquisitive Dipper is, always wanting to know more, but at the same time, when he’s been asked “but why not?” 10 times in a row, he needs to steer the conversation to something else
-He tries to set individual little time with the twins so he can engage with them one-on-one, it’s in these cases that Stan will watch the other twin. He does arts and crafts and tea parties with Mabel, sometimes putting together Lego sets if it’s one she seems interested in. Sometimes they’ll just cuddle and watch a movie if that’s what she wants. He very much likes gossiping with her stuffed animals at the tea parties, spreading the most juicy inter-dimensional rumors.
-With Dipper, they’ll do puzzles, put together legos, and paint. Dipper loves finger painting when he’s feeling small, Ford doesn’t mind that he gets everything messy even with a smock on, his boy doesn’t look anxious or tired, his eyes bright and lacking their usual bags. If he starts asking too many questions, Ford may sometimes turn on a kid friendly documentary to keep him distracted
-Dipper and Mabel both love it when Ford reads to them, he gets so into the characters and get super dramatic, making them laugh and squeal behind their pacifiers
-They both have pacifiers, Dipper because he keeps chewing on his shirts, Mabel because she wanted to be like him, but actually really liked how soothing it is
-Dipper’s nickname is the Little Dipper and Mabel is Ford’s Meteorite. He thinks the names are cute, no matter how much Stanley may tease him about it
-No Mabel Juice when they’re little. Never again.
-Even when regressed, these two love to chase mysteries and go exploring, getting into as much mischief as possible with Ford’s eyes on them. He does allow them to go on adventures in Gravity Falls with him, but only if they’re kiddie friendly and he has to keep an eye on them at all times (Stanley’s rules). He only goes about 50 feet into the forest, which is plenty fun for them, they love running around and picking up every shiny rock and cool stick they find, sometimes wondering off too far if something catches their eye.
-Ford almost had a heart attack when he couldn’t find Dipper one day, looking everywhere, while holding Mabel in his arms, only to find him further in the trees arguing with a gnome
-The twins now have backpack leashes for when they leave the shack while regressed. It’s safer for them and makes it less liable that their Grunkle’s have a heart attack
-Ford loves his niblings, he doesn’t mind caring for them whatever their headspace may be. They’re both such caring and lovable individuals, it brings a pleasant ache in his chest to know that they care for him, trust him so much, that they allow themselves to be vulnerable like this around him. He loves his little family so much

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMM TIREDSMASHBROS!!!
note for tomm under the read more... lalala💥💥 @tiredsmashbros
ohhh tomm. tomm tiredmashbros, oh do you even know what has happened this, what, past half a year and counting? There has been so, so much improvement these past few months, whether that was to be art or even being able to grow the confidence to actually make a discord server and how well it is and how active it is to this day!!! It’s genuinely felt like it’s been so long, but truly only has been maybe about. since september so like 4 months maybe of the discord server? and so much has happened since then.
Onto the actual much deeper depths of paragraphs, you genuinely have changed my life in ways that I don’t think I could even achieve. Many days on vc’s, joking about the most random things, to the (about) most unexpected things, late night vc’s, the silly sleepover vc’s (technically late night... but shhhh), your paragraphs here, your just genuinely amazing self and personality. Even if you’re just another person in this world, I think you’re some of the best among everyone that I could’ve had the pleasure of getting to meet and know you.
I always loved the times when we vced and went “hey it’d be funny if we watched this video” then did that or, mainly, plan ahead and all. The pikmin iceberg (even if i fell asleep. whoops.), isaacwhy ltlvc, epic the musical, and so much more probably HSJDNSJ. I’ll always remember the first vc I was in with you, or at least the one that I think is the first since I think we both were muted then eventually unmuted JSIDJSSJ I still don’t remember who was all there... i think it’s really funny that like 1-2 months after that, we vced so much and literally couldn’t remember who was there in the first vc JSAKJSKDJD i think that vc was when we had that silly “IM NOT A TYPER” or something i think... I DONT HAVE THE ORIGINAL IMAGE SAVED RN JAHDJDSJ 💔💔💔 and i sounded in such despair because it was like 1 or 2 am for me and i had to be quiet... I always absolutely LOVE our vc’s together, even if i’m caught, i typically don’t actually feel that bad since it’s just like. augh. i have no idea how to explain it💔💔 but yeah 💥💥💥 —> EDIT HERE... LTIERALLY TALKING TO YOU IN DMS AND YOU LITERALY HAVE JT ON HAND. THE IM NOT A TYPER. BROOOOO IM GONNA GET YOU
The surprise you gave me for my birthday and the fact that you did an entire PARTY IN THE SERVER ???? dude i was genuinely so gobsmacked, even if i was late to it NSKDNSKAJA... there was so much going on, i’ll be so fr i literally can barely remember it other than you asking my favroite scene and saying flowerfield sunset and then some bit later you surprised me with the fanart of neo like GUH?????? oh my GOS AJAJSNSNbut even just the MERE IDEA of having a birthday party and the fact that you wanted to do one for me was so surprising and i’m so genuinely hyped for yours like GUH. I’m so HSJSNSJSJSKSKNDJD
as you already know, the drawing above took about 12 hours and 30 minutes to fully finish. honestly, to my first fanart of tsb to this one is just amazing and i wouldn’t be able to see such improvement if it weren’t for you, for your amazing lore of tsb (i will yap about this later...), stealing some of your silly techniques here and there, and so much more. i’m just. baffled at the thought of being here with your birthday today.
oh and your ART. oh my GOODNESS. Where do i even START. for one, i know for a FACT i have stolen silly little things out of your style because of how unique and silly it is and how i do this with all of my friends because i genuinely appreciate and love everything that everyone makes,,, i especially LOVE, oh my goodness do i LOVE how you do your coloring and shading. it’s so unique in a way that works so damn well with how you do your lines, whether it’s sketchy or not, the outlines, everything bro. the rendering gets me the most. you WITNESSED me STRUGGLE to recreate it because i really wanted to try out and do a piece more in your style of things!! i do want to say it had been actually so fun doijg that... i should do it again lalalala... BUT ANYWASY!!!!! i’ve always just. oh my god. LOVE and just BUSHSURHEJSNA i just love how do you comics bro,.... no matter if they’re the ones like your final or the ones like the memories tsb lore... and especially the SPEED YOU GET THESE DONE AT ???? BRO IM SO JEALOUS IN THE BEST WAY POSSINLE... i don’t think i’ll ever stop looking up to you bro...
and now the lore. oh my Lore. Lore lore lore lore . im gonna gET YOUUUUUUU. i’m so INVESTED in tsb’s lore... the creation of this whole universe with cartoony characteristics (it’s literally just. HOW DO I EXPLIJA IT ITS BASISLY LIKE JUST A CARTOON WHDJSNS AND I LOVE IT), pipedream, watchman, the mysterious feeling, the character development. bro EVERYHTING. i cant BELEIVE you hide so much shit in the tiniest things, make entire comics out of what look like such simple asks but no your ass is over here producing COMICS for this bro..... i’m so jealous oh my GOD...... there’s so much i can think of but it feels so little of what we actually know (confirmed) so far... also i see you editing the playlist... your ass is NOT SLICK!!!
comsider all of these paragraphs and everything i’ve said to you already in vc as revenge for all the genuine most kindest paragraphs i’ve read in my life in the reblogs of tsb fanart... guh.... also off topic from this, i realized this is the first time you’ll see me draw emmet oh my god....
i’m so sure i have more to say but my ass actually cant think of anything brooooo.... maybe i’ll send you paragraphs in dms when i think of it and actually remember it GUH.... OH OH WAIT WAIT ALL THE JOKES THAT WE’VE MADE. dude i’m always just being so silly in vc and i think it’s really silly and comedic when you’re over there making silly little doodles and i just go “you should draw tsmg4/smg4 with long hair/smg34” or other alike things.... i don’t think i’ll also ever live down the times when i fell asleep on vc and you were there for i think all of them except maybe 1 ? i have no clue... bro your voice genuinely so calming i’m gonna fall asleep again some day 😭😭
okay enough yapping about that i THINK...., when I first found you, it was literally from the lipbite part 1 comic 😭😭 and i was like “oh hey, i actually kind of really like this person’s art!!” so yk. i followed you!!! if i told my past self that i’d be sitting here right now, typing all of this out, they wouldnt believe me. I’m genuinely just so baffled at the mere thought of being here and being able to call you a friend. hell. i’d even say best friends / close friends bro... i cannot even fathom the thought of that in the past, yet, here i am, able to call you a friend that i talk to about regularly i’d say.
I want to say it again; Happy birthday Tomm, I hope you have one of the best birthdays in your life and thank you for everything.
-Neo 💙

What if releasing Predathos is like releasing wolves back into Yellowstone?
We have all these culturally received stories about wolves being these terrifying monsters who kill anyone who enters the woods and they eat children and kill livestock and pets. So the only way to protect the human world is to exterminate them. so that's what white people did in Europe and North America.
But it turns out that seriously messed up the ecosystem. The deer and elk population "flourished" and then became out of control, destroying the rivers and eating all the food and killing off themselves and everything else. The beavers can't thrive so they don't build dams that the fish and other creatures were using to survive. All that "protection" actually leads to a horrendous amount of harm. Which ultimately extends to the human world as well.
Until environmental conservationists fought to re-release this predator back into the wild. They have to fight against all these negative attitudes and fear mongering. How dare they threaten everything we've built by reintroducing monsters into the world after we worked so hard to banish them? Don't these silly environmental activists understand how bad this will be? How it will ruin everything? They act like they speak for the people and the animals but all bringing back the wolves could possibly do is cause harm. The status quo must be protected. And don't listen to those ranchers who say they would be willing to live with wolves again and protect themselves in other ways. They don't speak for the ranchers because "most" ranchers disagree! It's sabotage all the way done by villains who won't even understand what villains they're being!
But the environmentalists won in the end. A negligible amount of livestock have been killed. Meanwhile the environment flourished. The species the wolves eat became healthier and better controlled. The beavers came back. The rivers became healthier. The fish had safe waters again for better spawning which helped the bears. The aspens and the willows were no longer over-browsed and they bounced back. The ravens had carcasses to eat. Even the beetles did better. Conservation struggles that had been hard fought but intractable for a hundred years started making huge progress.
People knew that wolves were important, that predation was necessary for nature to thrive. But even the best studied people didn't predict just how important the wolves were. Everything was struggling to live because we decided to "protect" it from the "monsters" that hunted them. Unleashing the creatures that were so hungry turned out to be one of the single most important environmental wins. A lesson that's being taken all over the world to bring back other ecosystems we damaged. The things people were so afraid of largely didn't happen. And since we understand the wolves and their behavior more now, humans are safer around them, too. We're learning to cultivate respect instead of fear.
So maybe releasing Predathos and letting them eat or chase off the gods would destroy Exandria as we know it. Maybe Bell's Hells are flirting with danger trying to take them in and control them and it will all end in disaster. Maybe history will remember them as villains. It's unclear if the damage to Molaesmyr was fully due to Ludinus Da'leth's reckless experimental magic or contact with Predathos.
But it's just as likely that unleashing Predathos would be like releasing the wolves back into Yellowstone. The gods killing off the Primordials that were native to Exandria before the gods came could represent the suppression of ecosystems by outsiders who thought they knew better than nature. Who believed they could create something that was better. But in the process have actually been damaging the world. Maybe the world would actually thrive if the gods had a predator to control them when nothing else has.
We don't know. The point is that we don't know. It's a hell of a lot more interesting story to find out than to maintain a status quo that wiped out 2/3rd of life on Exandria and is threatening to do it again. Matt has made it perfectly clear multiple times that this is the end of an age in Exandria. The center cannot hold anymore. As Ashton pointed out, Ludinus only ever thought about how to end things. He never considered what might come next. But something will. Maybe the beavers and the willows will come back when the elk are kept in check.

Abstragedy Week Day 3 - Hurt/comfort
Knock-knock-knock.
Zooble knocked on Gangle’s door for probably the tenth day in a row, awaiting a response. They had been visiting her every day since they got back from the Spudsy’s adventure. Gangle had seemed sadder and more quiet since then -if that was even possible- and Zooble wanted to be sure they were okay. Besides, they always enjoyed Gangle’s company. And she had opened the door and welcomed them in every day (except today, apparently.) Just as Zooble turned away and was about to walk back to their room - they must have all gone on one of Caine’s adventures again, they thought - the door creaked open and Gangle’s mournful face offered Zooble a smile once again. They sat together in the vermillion room, decorated with red silk bows and littered with sketchbook paper and pencils. “Zooble?” she squeaked, anxiety in her voice. “Can I talk to you about something?” Zooble nodded, their eyes suddenly filled with concern. “Yeah? Was it Jax again?” "No, he’s not the problem. I am." she said, big tears surfacing from her voidlike eyes. "I really appreciate it. But you don't need to do this for me. I don't want you to feel bad for me, if you think I'm annoying you can say so and I'll leave you alone."
"What?" Zooble could have laughed at the idea of finding Gangle, practically the only good thing they had in the Circus, annoying. But they could barely put words together, her statement not fully registering. "Why... why would you think... who told you that?"
"Remember the fast food adventure? That's what Jax told me. And Ragatha too... I don't think she would have said it out loud, but she had some of that sauce? I don't know, I guess it made her more honest...." Gangle trailed off. "I just... I don't really know anymore."
"Gangle..." Zooble had so much they wanted to tell her, they wanted to stay with her as she cried, and fall asleep, safe in each others' arms... but everything was coming too fast again and all they could say was, "Why would I think that?"
Gangle blinked, wiping away a tear only for a new one to appear in its place. “W-what?”
“I mean,” Zooble said slowly, searching for the right words, “you’re the only person in this whole damn circus that I care about. I don’t know what I’d do if you weren’t here. I-” They were interrupted by the firm grasp of Gangle’s arms around their shoulders. “Thank you.” Gangle whispered. And Zooble wordlessly returned the hug. After they pulled away from each other, they just sat there, leaning against Gangle’s four poster bed. It wasn’t awkward really, they could just stay for as long as they wanted, being in each other’s presence. “I mean,” Zooble mused, “what reason would I have not to be honest with you? If I didn’t want to come over, I wouldn’t have. I do that all the time with Caine anyway…” and they suddenly became aware of what they were saying - oh shit why did I say that she probably doesn’t want to talk about it anymore we were doing fine and of course I had to go ruin it what the fuck is wrong with me -
But then Gangle cracked a smile. And she started to giggle. Which made Zooble smile too, and before they knew it they were both laughing together, gasping for breath, not even knowing why. It had been so long since Zooble had heard that sound out of their own mouth, and when they had both calmed down, they looked lovingly at each other.
Like they were the only people in the world.
